Pictures ECO 6 Rod
Hi Rod
Nice to see your Zephyr's Delight floating.
She looks great.
A pity with the mainsail.
I know you have many other interesting things on your to-do list
So have fun.
Cheers
Bernd

Re: Duo 900 Italy
Wonderful news, Dominico. Will you fabricate a carbon fibre mast for your ECO 6? I will be watching very carefully.

Re: ECO 520 anyone building?
Hi
I changed the rig of the ECO 520. To make handling more easy, omit the small jib. Then coming about is a lot easier.
You do not need a traveler for the jib, but an out haul when not sailing on the

Thank you for your letter. Mmm, more as a letter.
Somebody had sent me some photos of how the boat looked after the hurricane. But they disappeared in the jungle of my computer files.

Thank you for sharing your story and the photos of Galacticat (Lucia). It is an inspiring story - very helpful for us builders when we go through a slump in our enthusiasm. :-) And of course, as a

@Bernd, thanks for the reply regarding the differences between rigs. Sounds logical!

Re: ECO 520 anyone building?
The mast-aft setup is one of the big reasons why I chose the ECO 520. I'd also like more details though on exactly how it works. The images in the plans show two travelers at the very rear called jib

Re: ECO 520 anyone building?
With the 520 you can have the option of the bi plane rig if you prefer. After building and owning the Duo 480 the bi plane rig would be my first choice.

Re: ECO 520 anyone building?
There is no difference sailing a jib rig to any other rig. Only, in this case the handling is easier (furling to shorten sail etc).
Of course, you can not sail to windward with the jib in your dingy.

Hi Paul
The plans are electronic files, so you can¡¯t lay a pattern on the plywood, but it is really a straight forward process to mark the needed points with the included table of offsets. The lines

Re: ECO 520 anyone building?
I'm interested in the ECO520 as well. But I'm wondering what the (dis)advantages will be with the double jib rig. The eco520 page does not go into details about this rig.
How will it compare to a
