Re: Acceptable parts
As Jack said, the critical spec is amperage. This holds true for the 3.3 V regulator as well and another point on the 3.3V regulator. I had a handful of 3.3V TO-220 style regulators on hand. (They

Re: JackAl Parts Kit
Some of us, living in the extreme corners of the world (at least it seems that way) have no local source of parts. Also, because of choosing to move to this corner, and not wishing to pay to move 50

Re: JackAl Parts Kit
Glad to see this, Mark, and it makes sense. Al and I investigated quantity discounts on both the display and the Teensy/audio boards, but (as I recall), there was only a 3% discount on the display and

Re: Jackal board from QRPGuys
Looks like factory damage for sure. ?Very rare for chip shooters or process equipment to do this sort of damage for the record. ?However accidental impact between final test & packaging is common.

Acceptable parts
For the 5V, 1.5A voltage regulator, is this acceptable? https://www.adafruit.com/product/2164 I'm ordering a Raspberry Pi 3A+, and thought if this was acceptable, then I'd just add it to my order.

Re: Jackal board from QRPGuys
That means it was done at the factory.? I didn't see how it could get that kind of damage in the box I shipped it in.? Probably done by pick and place process
