Re: Display Protection Board
Vince Loschiavo
We will do a several if you want. Just email me.
I'm going to see if there needs to be an improvement to the existing one..maybe it is me, but looks like just the data lines are protected..not the 3.3v. Let me get the boards, and put t together, got all the parts already. Vince n2aie |
Re: Display Protection Board
Vince, I haven't been following all the discussion about this display protection board as to what different ways it will or will not to available. So I wanted to ask if you have ordered a lot of these boards or just a few for yourself and a few other folks? JackAl Display Protection
All: Al has made the Gerber files for his RA8875 display protection board available to all who might be interested. The Gerber files and a documentation file are in the attached zip file. I will also post these in the Files section of the JackAl group. The circuit is sufficiently simple it can also be constructed from perf board. This is the BOM for the PCB, which uses SMD parts. Components are as follows:

Re: 7 inch Display Destroyed $50.00 brick

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý(Before you start ordering boards...), you may want to determine the cause of voltage spikes to the display? I'm guessing a source of "spikes" might?be due to induced transients on the cabling to the display, and might better be eliminated by by-passes at the display, if so?Just a thought? Re: JackAl Display and Voltage Spikes
All: Al is waiting for parts to test the PCB's we had made. We expect the parts any time. We'll then build and test one using the PCB and will release the board and the Gerbers when we're sure it's right. Jack
