I used your 'playbook' for imaging HamPC to the eMMC on one of my Evolve III Maestro laptops.
I had several issues with booting Mint Linux and Ubuntu on USB sticks with MicroSD cards installed.
Kernel panics galore.? Finally grabbed a straight up USB memory stick and imaged with Ubuntu.
Booted and used the Disk tool to "Restore Image" off a MicroSD with the HamPC image.
Eureka!!? Booting consitantly now.? I pinged Dave via FB to thank him.

Hello again.

I have WSJTX and FLRIG working fine on my little ASUS box, but I have no audio when I try to watch You-Tube (r) videos. Anyone have a guide written on how to get the system to use the built-in audio card in a newer ASUS laptop?

The way to make this work is to clone the git repository containing all the ansible playbooks and run the main Ansible playbook against Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
There are instructions in the wiki on how to do this.

Yay!
???? I booted from the USB stick (man, those Sandisk 128g type C
sticks get hot!). Downloaded Balena and the current HamPC version.
Ran Balena and flashed to the system drive (Wow! LOTS of
warnings!).
Works good. More testing later, but as always, Dave did a good
job.

You can boot off a separate drive other than the internal drive. So, think USB flash drive, and then use BalenaEtcher to write the image to the internal hard drive.
Just understand anything on the internal drive will be overwritten?by the HamPC image.

Hi, Have you downloaded the image again?? It could just be a corrupt image
I have used Balena Etcher and i still cannot get the OS to boot... ive tried legacy boot in bios and also UEFI boot. cant get the image to work at all.. I am using the latest HamPC Download from Sourceforge. Please help!

Yes I am using it on a I5 laptop from HP that is at least?10 years?old.? I have it on an SSD, it run very well. I even use it to listen to Netflix and Crave while wspr-x logs some receive to wsprnet ;-)
