Hello All: A recent implementer of HamClubOneline for my club, the Baltimore Amateur Radio Club. Awesome software! My notion is to use the Alert Activation feature as a text vehicle to remind members of club meetings, an hour before start time. The results in a small alert were amazing. In my case, I promptly received a robo message on both my cell and house phones. Each call repeated the intended message "club meeting at 7:00 pm." three times. This feature should certainly improve attendance for those of us who get distracted just before meeting time, hi hi. No actual text to my cell phone. Second test with home phone now set as DNA: Robo call rang to cell phone and purposely not answered by me. The robo call was picked up by Voice Mail with message safely stored. Further reading on the computer screen reveals"These alerts will be sent via best effort via SMS text and TTS phone calls to appropriately configured users in your club. Delivery and availability can not be guaranteed.". The software generates both SMS and TTS phone calls to my cell phone. The cell phone successfully accepted the Voice Mail first, so mission accomplished. Use opt-in practice to not annoy members. Our club default is now DNA (Do Not Alert) for all telephone numbers in our roster, except those specifically interested in alerts. The "just yourself-testing" target is particularly useful. Each member allowing the alert feature should add phone number +1-734-373-7373 as another number in their cell phone directory under their given club name to avoid confusion on alerts. Hello all, I just joined a new ham club and was asking about their online discussion forum. Apparently, they don't have one, but they might be interested. And, they are users of hamclubonline. So, the question is, among hamclubonline users, is there a preferred online discussion forum platform? Is it groups.io? What should I recommend? Thanks for any guidance. 73. Chris KC9AD

Is it possible to add items to the Member Profile? I see things like name, address, joined club, phone number, etc. We have a few additional items like unit numbers, sub-team, etc. we would like to keep track of and show on the roster. Also, not necessarily on their profile, but is it possible to show things like committee membership? And have a roster of just committee members, and able to group email just those committee members? Okay, I created my club and added members. What I do not see is how to assign privileges. For example, to make someone an administrator so they can add members or make other changes to the club configuration. And who can make or change calendar entries, etc. We need to be able to give other people besides me authority in certain areas. I watched a YouTube video on setting things up, but he apparently was using an older version as my menus did not have the same options as he showed. Michael WA7SKG

I’m just wondering, do you have APIs available for third party apps/ websites. I’m wondering if there’s a way to improve the user interface for the club members and help make it a bit more user friendly for the less technical. 73 petwr

Good day everyone, our club would like to utilize this program. We use this for our ARES membership which is much smaller census than what the club currently has now. Does anyone know if there can be importing from say a csv file (it would include financial data fields for our bean counter) into HCOL? I would be importing Google spreadsheet into Access database where positioning of fields would be easier for me to do. Have very nice Labor Day weekend, With friendly greetings Gray KC3DWY

Curious if anyone has received reports from applicants that their payments are not working during the application process. They get a blank white page after payment submission. My club is configured to use Square with HamClubOnline(HCOL). I have not seen a square payment since 4/23. However, that might be normal. The volume of payments my club members submit in HCOL is very low. I'm still trying to gather info before opening a support ticket with HCOL or Square.

Has anyone setup Square Payments on HamClubOnline? Are there detailed instructions on how to set this up somewhere? or Would we be better off using PayPal? Tom Harrison, N9PQJ Yellow Thunder ARC

Is anyone using HamClubOnline and PayPal for membership dues? If so, is this something a PayPal novice can reasonable implement.
