Richard what does turning the dial clockwise actually mean? If it was a rotating pointer on a fixed scale it is fairly clear that the POINTER rotates CW. And the numbers stay fixed, but on a rotating

Note that the direction of the dial and knob for bandspread are reversed. See instructions about replacing the dial string. The index mark on the dials is at the LOW end, with capacitors fully
