More on matching tubes. Burle color coded their tubes for matching purposes. So, IF you get NEW Burle tubes color coded blue you are perfect. Red and green will work but not to maximum efficiency.

Hi Clark, I have a matched pair of NOS Burle 8122 tubes (Green Dot) that are surplus to my needs if you want to pick up a couple of spares. I tested and de-gassed them in my SR-2000 in June of 2021

I baked the Xtals at 360F for 2.5 hours.? They did not move in frequencey. The LSB xtal is 1648.2 and not usable.? USB is closer but still way off.? Worth a try though! C

If you cannot get equal unwanted sideband rejection on USB and LSB, the primary causes are: First is an unbalance in the output of the audio modulator circuit: V5A must equal V5B; T6 must equal T7;

Update. Radio number 1 has a fault with the ball bearings missing on load cap shaft. This allows contact.? Ordered ball bearings. Radio number 2 is alive!? ?Its band switch was hot switched. I
