Re: E4401B No 50MHZ Cal signal
The only advice I can offer is not to adjust anything until you fix the problem. I don't have this instrument. Hopefully you have a good block diagram and a description to figure it out. You are lucky

Re: E4401B No 50MHZ Cal signal
Hi Peter, I am aware of the differences between a 75 ohm input and 50 ohm input. I have a 50 to 75 ohm impedance matching pad that I will be using on the input when measuring signals with a 50 ohm

Re: E4401B No 50MHZ Cal signal
Are you using 75 ohm components to calibrate it? You do realize that it will not work with 50 ohm components?

Re: Replacement battery for 8566A
I'm surprised no one mentioned my post "8566A Battery Replacement" in the files section. The file is "8566A Battery.pdf". Recently (last few weeks) uploaded, there was a notification. There is a

Re: E8357A upgrade questions
Hi, If you already speak linux/unix - I've successfully cloned the disk on a E8358A by booting a linux live image from a USB stick and dumping the drive contents via 'dd' to a further USB connected

Re: Replacement battery for 8566A
No, it's not there.? There are newer versions though so I may update while I'm in there.? I don't need any of the MATE or CIIL compatibility as I'll never use that.

Re: Replacement battery for 8566A
I'm pretty sure it's not there. I hope it's not too much of a hassle to read those EPROMs. I think there are very few of these units out there with that firmware. -Dave

Re: HP5335A rough calibration
Here are the final results of the calibration. I ran the configuration described previously for 24 hours. As indicated in my last message, after 10 hours the display showed 10,000,000.01. Over the

I talked to the fellow I bought the system from and he may have a battery holder assembly, so I'm going to wait to see if I can get one before bodging anything in. Sean

Re: E8357A upgrade questions
As a follow up, Caesar helped me updated my PNA to the 500MHz CPU and 40GB HD. The machine runs way better and I can keep a USB hub (Keyboard and mouse) connected full time. The original 266MHz CPU

Re: Replacement battery for 8566A
Yes, Daun has it right. The 8566 A responds both to the Basic command set and MATE/CIIL language. It also deletes the battery - military did not want settings retained when unplugged. There might also
