I had thought about that too, but when I received it, the curve was reversed on the other side with an even larger angle.
Then after a power cycle, the screen looked like what the image shows and nothing has moved since…but I had moved the instrument.
I tried to shake the instrument a little, but nothing moves, I had thought then of a possible intermittent adjustment.
But you are probably right, I will have no choice but to remove everything and try to find a way to make the adjustment when the device is powered on.

I suspect that's likely a magnetically deflected display, like a television, and has a deflection yoke on the CRT neck that's somehow managed to get rotated slightly.
