From what I know the hardware from 8753E is close or the same as 8702E.
The 8720ES has different hardware. Some parts might be the same but
there are some differences.
The CPU card of the 8720ES I know it is the same as 8753ES and even the
part number of the board is 08753-60272.
I suppose the firmware is stored in the 2x 8Mbit Intel E28F800 flash
memory ICs near the Motorola CPU.

I have one 8720ES that does not boot fully. If adding a 8753E CPU board
it boots but as 8753E that will not work of course to do different HW,
