First of all, as an FYI if you're not aware of it, as it states in our home page (/g/Group_Help)

Note: This group is operated by volunteers; it is not officially affiliated with 开云体育 in any way, and has no administrative access to any group other than this particular group.

so there are some things we cannot do as we don't have access to the site's databases. But even if we did, there's no such thing on groups.io (or anywhere else) as "recover an account" when that account no longer exists in the system.

I had no idea it would be this difficult

The reason for this is that you yourself are making this more difficult that it needs to be by not answering back with details on what we ask you for, we have some very knowledgeable folk in this group who can figure out solutions to varying problems, but the things is, it's very hard to figure out a solution when you're not told what the problem is, or what one is trying to (really) accomplish.

So to summarize the solutions already offered in previous messages in this thread based on the limited and cryptic info you gave us so far:

A: Problem: You said you tried the "email me a link to login" and groups.io said no account exists with that old email address.
??? Solution: As stated in a previous reply of mine, log-out from 开云体育 and go to the new user registration page at /register and create a new groups.io account using that old address of yours. You can then rejoin the groups you were a member of with that old account and search for, find, and read your old messages. My apologies for not being able to make it simpler than that.

B:
Problem: You said you have messages from that old account on groups.io you need to access.
??? Solution: One way is to do the solution for A above, or as stated in another previous reply of mine, just join those groups with your current account and you'd still be able to search for, find, and read your old messages. And risking repeating myself, my apologies for not being able to make it simpler than that.

Now, just a wild shot in the dark here, but if you used to be a group owner with that old account but that group of yours was banned from groups.io (for whatever reason), you won't be able to get to that banned group's messages, they are gone along with that banned group itself. If that's the case, as they say in NY, fuggetaboutit.

So based on what you told us so far, that's all we can do to help, if the solutions already offered will not work for what you're attempting to accomplish, in order for us to help you any further, I'd suggest for you to explain exactly why and what you're trying to accomplish, in full detail pretty-please-with-a-cherry-on-top.

In the meantime however, to avoid irritating meself and the rest of the mods any further, not to mention the rest of the group's members, you'll stay in moderation (and most likely have your messages rejected) until you start talking and cooperating and providing the detailed information we ask you for, I mean after all even if many of us enjoy banging our heads on the wall, we have to stop after a while coz this darn drywall we use here in the States is just too fragile.

Cheers,
Christos
