As stated though if the person happen to look on the website will they still not be able to see it? I really do not see a way of doing this. and I would not want to ruin the surprise.

There is none.? Awhile back, someone sort of did it by creating a subgroup, but didn't allow the suprisee to be a member, but that's not guaranteed.
