Re: ASI Air Pro use on Gemini 1
Hey Tino, Hmmm...this may change my setup. I actually HAVE a rPi. It came with my telescope(used). The only problem is the previous owner couldn't tell me the password. Maybe I can dedicate the rPi to

Re: ASI Air Pro use on Gemini 1
None from the Gemini standpoint (at least that I¡¯m aware of), but you will probably run across quirky behavior on the AAP. They based it on the Indi drivers, which are community developed and

preconfigured? In a very general sense, yes. But ZWO took the Indian foundation and built apps on top of it, so it¡¯s customized to the point that you wouldn¡¯t recognize it compared to say ekos.

Re: ASI Air Pro use on Gemini 1
I am using a Raspberry Pi 4 with 8GB of RAM, which is more than plenty. The Pi can handle pretty much everything in terms of astrophotography. Mine is setup to create a hotspot automatically on boot

Re: ASI Air Pro use on Gemini 1
Isn't the ASI Air basically a (more expensive) raspberry pi that comes preconfigured? If so it should be running linux with INDI, EKOS and KSTARS. You will have to install the INDi Driver (INDI is the

Re: ASI Air Pro use on Gemini 1
Nick, Not having an ASI Air, I cannot say. You'll have to experiment, or contact ZWO for their ASIAir instructions. The Gemini-1 uses only a standard serial port at 9600 baud to pass instructions back

Hi Nick, I'll guess: Start over with a Cold Boot. That erases your model data that I'm guessing is messing your system up. Then run your system as you did the first successful night. After your first

ASI Air Pro use on Gemini 1
Alright gents... It seems my G11 (circa 2007) is a little sensitive when working with the ASI Air Pro (AAP). I've thumped my head enough on the proverbial wall many - many times. Thinking it's time to

Re: Gemini 1 ASCOM and Maxim DL 6 - Nudge scope position
Hi Andy, That's what I think Howard should try. Without seeing the ASCOM logs, I can't guess as to what each software is doing when trying to nudge. If it really is using pulse guiding, then guider

Re: Gemini 1 ASCOM and Maxim DL 6 - Nudge scope position
That's good advice for Gemini 1 / Level 4. This was fixed in Gemini-2 L5, so that precision pulse-guiding became the default and only available option. For Gemini-1, turn it off if it's turned on.
