Re: microphone

the mic element is rated for 1 to 10 vdc like the generic condensers. The schematic on the pdf of the mic shows? the mic has 2 teminals one positive one neg. and one + 3v vs

I would just run the power up to the mic via one of the wires that may not be used 2 wires for mic and 2 wires for ptt and both have a common so basically 3. I havent studied the mic wiring in detal but if 2 wires are common to ground, then you could dead end it in the mic by clipping the one ur going to use and tying together the mic ground(-) and ptt ground and feed 3vdc up that dead free wire allowing you to tag the + side of mic with a 2.2k resistor, and of course detaching that wire at radio end so its not grounded. and if the g-106 doesnt have a coupling cap for ac in line at the radio, it can be added in the mic on the + side.

Just my opinion.

Hope this helps.I would do everything i could in the mic so the only thing needed might be a blocking cap for the + coming back from the mic, and jst feeding voltage up one of the freed up wires.Just my hillbilly view of it.
