I purchased the mic element from Digikey. ?Yes it does have more output but the clarity is no better than the original microphone. ?
I also purchased the "MASH-style" handset from eBay. ?No significant change in audio and did not work in transmit. ?I would not suggest it.
So we are back to square one. ?I have firmware 1.3 installed. ?
CW keying seems just fine. ?
A probable good change would be to use a different mic case.
Remember folks acoustics is user specific. ?
My voice is not like yours and it still is open for modification. ?
My mic has the hole drilled in it and yes that did help the articulation.
