So I just found out that flaxseed is high in goitrogens and not recommended if diagnosed with hypothyroidism.?
Does anyone know if toasting the seeds removes goitrogens, and would we still have the positive effects of the seeds?? Is the flax oil alone free from goitrogens?? The max dosage recommendation for someone with hypothyroid is 2 tbsp of flaxseed. Not sure how to get the daily 5 tbsp of flaxseed in without causing more harm to my thyroid or is it worth the risk?
Any advice?would be greatly appreciated.? Thanks, Leticia'

Hi Jules
The 5 tablespoons of flaxseeds include the two in the morning focc, the rest in juices. He hasn't yet had champagne/sparkling wine,? preferring fruit juice to wash down the pre lunch flax seeds.

Please Read Dr. Budwig's Protocol
Below are Guidelines in brief of the Budwig Diet?¨C you don¡¯t have to consume all the foods on this list. Membership to our site gives you videos or articles in detail about each item below. This information is from Dr. Budwig¡¯s books.
1. 1st thing in AM¨CSauerkraut Juice, preferably raw & homemade [We have a video on our site showing how to make it] . Raw unheated kraut has enzymes, probiotics and vitamins which help the digestive system metabolize foods & improve immunity. Most sauerkraut sold in stores is pasteurized [heated] and nutrients are damaged. It won¡¯t help as much.
2. Just before breakfast¨C green or herbal tea
3. Breakfast¨C3 Tbs. Flax Oil & 6 Tbs. Quark or Cottage Cheese+ 3 Tbs. milk if needed for thinning, well blended, after blending, add 2 Tbsp flax seeds, freshly ground, add fresh fruit, fruit juice, raw nuts, 1 tsp raw honey. Afterward, if hungry, choose whole grain bread, raw vegetables, & an oz of quality cheese: Edam, Gouda, Emmentaler, Sbrinz or Camembert.
4. Mid-morning ¨C Homemade Vegetable Juice (carrots, beets w/lemon or apple, or greens) . Homemade carrot or beet juices are very important cancer-fighters.
5. Before Lunch ¨C Champagne or sparkling wine with 1 Tbs of flaxseeds[freshly ground] OR ground flax seeds in small glass of fruit juice. The champagne helps with absorption of the seeds.
6. SUNBATHING outside 10 to 20 minutes around noon [weather permitting] without sun lotion or glasses, expose as much skin as possible. Avoid washing with soap after sunbathing. Give the vitamin D time to be made and absorbed[24-48 hours]
7. Lunch ¨C raw vegetable salad or vegetable plate + Budwig dressing. If still hungry, boiled or steamed veggies, grains and beans, lentils, or potatoes. [If a member of this site, see ¡°DINNER¡± in the Menu for over 25 recipes]
8. Lunch Dessert ¨C It¡¯s important to have a 2nd serving of 3 Tbs. Flax Oil & 6 Tbs. Quark or Cottage Cheese with a little milk, well blended. Add raw fruit, fruit juice, raw nuts, raw honey and/or other flavors you like.
9. Mid-afternoon ¨C 1 Tbs. whole flaxseeds, freshly ground & added to 3 to 8 oz of pure fruit juice, homemade or store bought.
10. STRESS REDUCTION/RELAXATION PRACTICE ¡ª Meditation to relax the mind, EFT to change thinking, & other techniques that reduce stress as shown on the Budwig-Videos website for those who join. [EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique]. Chronic stress can be very damaging. [We have a video for relaxation methods for members of this site.]
11. Late afternoon ¨C Papaya or pineapple juice, 3 to 8 oz, with 1 Tbs. whole flaxseeds, freshly ground.
12. Dinner ¨C Cooked grains and nutritional yeast flakes such as Red Mill Nutritional Yeast with B12 or grains with vegetables w/oleolux, nutritional yeast flakes & spices. Vegetables such as spinach, asparagus, broccoli, & cabbage add cancer-fighting nutrition. Grains suggested by Dr. Budwig: brown rice, buckwheat, millet and oats. Dine early.
13. Evening ¨C 1 glass Red Wine [optional]. Go to sleep early ¨C before 10pm if possible.
14. AVOID chemicals, preservatives, damaging fats, meats/poultry/eggs/fish, sugar, sugar substitutes, highly processed foods, most supplements, ozone treatments, dental infections and wean off drugs if possible [under doctor¡¯s care]
15. Most people do not need ELDI oils, which Dr. Budwig created mainly for patients who are too weak to eat. These oils are sold in Germany. They are rubbed on the skin or used as an enema if needed. [Some people make a version of ELDI oil at home by mixing 75% flax oil with 25% wheat germ oil to help preserve it. ]

Hi Julie That¡¯s fabulous news! Just a quick question¡do the 5 tbs of flaxseeds per day that you mentioned ?include the required ones in the quark mixture or are they extra? Also, is your husband taking a glass of sparkling wine with the flaxseeds on a daily basis? Warmest regards Jules

Congratulations to Julie and her husband as well as Akshay and his father for their outstanding use of Dr. Budwig's healing plan that allowed for excellent progress in overcoming cancer. Thanks to each of you for sharing your experiences with all of us.?
Reading the progress of some of our members inspires all of us.
Kindest regards, Sandra

Hi Bob
My husband is doing the full, daily plan which includes 2 servings of flaxseed oil and quark/cottage cheese at a 3:6 ratio, one for breakfast and the dessert portion after lunch. He takes extra flaxseed oil in the dressing for his lunch salad and consumes 5 tablespoons of freshly ground flaxseeds per day. I¡¯ve also made Oleolux which we serve on cooked vegetables.
Best wishes Julie, UK?

After 3 months on strict diet and budwig protocol he starts walking and his PSA came down from 100 to 0.4. He was not taking any hormone suppression medicines.
His diet includes
Budwig museli Salad. Carrot juicing Pomegranate juicing Raw diet
Curcumin extract with piperine Pumpkin seeds
Sunbath Yoga and meditation

Thought I'd share a positive update on my husband¡¯s prostate cancer diagnosis.
His first PSA score was very high- 1919. (18/5/23) This prompted the Urology consultant to give him the diagnosis of incurable, metastasised prostate cancer and life expectancy of 60 - 70 months.
They scheduled a bone scan and an MRI to discover the extent of the metastasis.
In the meantime they started him on medication to prepare his body for a hormone injection to block testosterone, scheduled for 30/5/23. I was concerned about mixing treatments but I was glad to read that Cliff Beckwith ( the original owner of the flaxseedoil2 group) also did BP alongside hormone injections for stage 4 prostate cancer and did very well.?
My husband was given another PSA test on 31/5/23, so one day after the hormone injection.
Yesterday the Urology nurse called with the scan results. She told us that they were surprised not to find any cancer in the bones!?
?
The MRI does show some lymph node involvement, we are yet to discover to what extent.
The astonishing part of the call was that the 2nd PSA test result was 787!?
This was taken after just 2 weeks on the full protocol! The nurse had told him not to expect ANY change between the two readings so this is really quite significant.
We were told that a PSA score of over 1000 indicated metastasis, therefore had 787 been the first score, we would¡¯ve been given a different prognosis.
We're obviously very encouraged by these results in only a short time on full BP. My husband has been super strict with the protocol which he began on 24/5/23.
I feel so very grateful to have found Dr. Budwig¡¯s work almost 12 years ago when I used the protocol successfully for our dog.?
I¡¯m also very grateful to have been involved in this wonderful group on a daily basis since 2011. I¡¯ve gained a lot of knowledge from Sandra and many other members during this time.
My husband is looking and feeling really well on his new regime and his long term cough has cleared completely.?
Onwards!

ValAstha the asthaxanthin! ? Dear Tina / Svetlana,
In my mind the systematic approach to be taken is as follows:
1. Run heavy metal tests (of four types: from blood after triggering release into bloodstream via chelating agents, from urine, from hair or via optical determination, the so-called oligoscan), to the end of determining the exact nature of the toxic load (i.e. the types of heavy metals)
2. Having performed the previous step, move on to undergo systematic chelation with the appropriate chelating agents (EDTA, DMSA etc). Supplementing at home with zeolites is of course an added benefit.
The question thus becomes whether you have around you any clinics/medical institutions that carry out chelation therapy. On Tue, May 30, 2023, 05:09 Sandy Heerspink < sheerspi@...> wrote: ?Hi Tina- ?I¡¯ve read that there has been encouraging results with the use of MMS (chlorine dioxide) for autism.?
Here¡¯s a link to testimonials regarding its use for autism. ?
You might also want to watch this video:? It was made by an ER nurse who wanted to find out if chlorine dioxide worked, or if it was too good to be true. He also has a channel on Rumble with various videos on the use of MMS/chlorine dioxide.
I have used it personally. It helped my arthritic knees, one is completely pain-free, the other only has minor pain now and then. I was so grateful when I realized the pain was gone, I almost cried! I actually did the Protocol 1000 as a general detox, and it ended up helping my knees along with a few other health benefits. I will definitely use MMS twice a year for a general detox, and I take it once or twice a week for maintenance (3 activated drops in filtered water before bed).
Seems from what I¡¯ve read, there¡¯s also a parasite component with autism, as well?
I have the book, ¡°The MMS Health Recovery Guidebook¡± by Jim Humble. It contains more details on treating autism.
I pray you find the right solution to benefit your son. God bless, Sandy
? Hi all,?
I have a 3 year-old son who has moderate degree of autism. Any natural treatment or special detox may help him?? He is saying only single words right now.?
Greatly appreciate.

Cottage cheese is accepted as a substitute for quark. I do not see Farmer's cheese as an improvement, and it may not even be it's equal.

I found that very runny quark doesn't really work - you need at least 12% protein (the runny ones have less). This is the result of about 17 years of trial and error
