89% reduction with flax oil and immune system drug

This is an interesting study.

Trastuzumab is a antibody that attaches to the cancer cell, allowing the body to see the cancer and attack it.

At a dose of 2.5mg/kg Trastuzumab stopped tumor growth but did not reduce it. The mice with no treatment had their tumors grow 187%.

Those that took the 2.5mg/kg dose of Trastuzumab with Flax oil had an 89% reduction in tumor size. Incredible results. Too bad they did not test just the flax oil by itself, or if they did, they chose not to report it.

Combining Flax oil with immune system strengthening approach makes sense.

Flaxseed oil-trastuzumab interaction in breast cancer

Flaxseed oil (FO), which is rich in n-3 fatty acid, is commonly consumed by breast cancer patients because of its potential anti-cancer effects. Trastuzumab (TRAS) is the primary drug for epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) positive breast cancer. We investigated in athymic mice whether combining dietary FO (8%) with TRAS treatment (2.5 or 5mg/kg body weight) can cause better or adverse effect on established human breast tumors overexpressing HER2 (BT-474). Control tumors significantly grew 187%, TRAS2.5 treated tumors did not change, while TRAS5, FO+TRAS2.5 and FO+TRAS5 treated tumors significantly regressed 75%, 89% and 84%, respectively, after 4weeks treatment. Two weeks after stopping TRAS treatment while continuing on same diet, tumor size in FO+TRAS2.5 group was 87% lower than in TRAS2.5 group and was not different from TRAS5 group with or without FO. Combined TRAS2.5 treatment with FO caused a significantly lower tumor cell proliferation and higher apoptosis compared to TRAS2.5 treatment alone and showed similar effect to TRAS5 treatment with or without FO. Hence, FO did not interfere with TRAS but rather enhanced its tumor-reducing effects and combined FO and low dose TRAS was as effective as high dose TRAS treatment.

Re: antioxidant use while on diet

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing the information

antioxidant use while on diet

I was curious about antioxidant use, as JB recommends not to use antioxidants, so looked for some studies to understand better.

Just wanted to share the info, as it gave me some more clarity.

ALA from flax oil causes tumor cell lysis (breakdown). But SOD (super Oxide Dismutase - powerful antioxidant) and vitamin E prevented this from happening.

So must avoid vitamin E. And avoid supplements that boost SOD like NAC. And Glutathione.

Three Different Studies. I reduced the content for easier reading. ALA is the flax oil Omega-3.

Study 1: Cytotoxic action of alpha-linolenic and eicosapentaenoic acids on myeloma cells in vitro

"Superoxide dismutase (SOD) completely blocked, while vitamin E and reduced glutathione (GSH) could prevent to a limited extent the anti-proliferative effects of ALA and EPA."

Both alpha-linolenic (ALA) and eicosapentaenoic acids (EPA) were toxic to SP 2/0 mouse myeloma cells in vitro. Both nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA) and Indomethacin (IM) could block the action of the fatty acids indicating a role for prostaglandins (PGs) and leukotrienes (LTs) in the growth suppressive action of ALA and EPA. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) completely blocked, while vitamin E and reduced glutathione (GSH) could prevent to a limited extent the anti-proliferative effects of ALA and EPA. Catalase, mannitol, chlorpromazine (CPZ) and trifluoperazine (TFP) did not block the cytotoxic actions of ALA and EPA. N(G)-mono-methyl L-arginine (N(G)MMA), an analogue of L-arginine, which inhibits nitric oxide synthase, was ineffective in preventing the cytotoxicity induced by ALA and EPA. Fatty acid analysis of the various lipid fractions of SP 2/0 cells treated with ALA and EPA showed significant incorporation of these fatty acids in the cell membrane lipid pools. These results suggest that ALA and EPA induced suppression of SP 2/0 cell proliferation is cyclo-oxygenase (CO), lipoxygenase (LO) and superoxide dependent. Lipid peroxidation has only a limited role in this process. Both calmodulin dependent process and L-arginine derived nitric oxide do not seem to have a role in the cytotoxic action of ALA and EPA in these cells.

Study 2: Free radical-dependent suppression of growth of mouse myeloma cells by alpha-linolenic and eicosapentaenoic acids in vitro

"Both SOD and vitamin E could inhibit the action of ALA and EPA indicating a role for reactive oxygen species and lipid peroxides."

Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) exhibited potent cytotoxic action on SP 2/0 mouse myeloma cells in vitro. Both SOD and vitamin E could inhibit the action of ALA and EPA indicating a role for reactive oxygen species and lipid peroxides. In addition, both ALA and EPA enhanced the formation of superoxide anion, hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxides, and caused a reduction in the levels of antioxidant enzymes: SOD, catalase and glutathione peroxidase and induced significant damage to DNA in SP 2/0 cells. Thus, ALA and EPA inhibit antioxidant defenses of the cell and damage the DNA, which can ultimately lead to tumor cell lysis.

Study 3: Effect of cis-unsaturated fatty acids on Meth-A ascitic tumour cells in vitro and in vivo

"Vitamin E could partially block the cytotoxicity of these fatty acids indicating a possible role for free radicals."

The order of potency of various fatty acids on the growth of Meth-A cells was DHA > ALA > EPA > AA > GLA > LA > OA and their ID50 values were 10, 20, 35, 45, 68, 73 and 110 microg/ml/1 x 10(4) cells, respectively. These results indicate that the inhibitory action of different types of n-3, n-6 and n-9 fatty acids on Meth-A cells does not depend on their unsaturation. Vitamin E could partially block the cytotoxicity of these fatty acids indicating a possible role for free radicals.

15 Key Points of Dr. Budwig’s Healing Plan - Plz read and save

Hello New Members,
?
The information below is posted regularly and is based on Dr. Budwig's books - The Oil-Protein Cookbook[1952] and Cancer-the Problem and the Solution[1999] and is on my website at https://budwig-videos.com On the site, click on FUNDAMENTALS at the top of the front page to read more details about the Budwig plan; also, view the video at the bottom of the front page to see the oil/protein muesli recipe being made and please read member testimonials. Join the site for a month or more of online Budwig recipes on video or with photos.??
?
Unfortunately, 99% of websites & books, other than Dr. Budwig's books, have incorrect information about her plan. Authors & websites offering "Budwig information" that includes supplements are giving advice that could interfere with healing. Dr. Budwig did not include supplements & wrote about avoiding most, but not all, of them. It's also important to follow the FULL Budwig plan below, instead of only flax oil/cottage cheese[FO/CC].?
?
?
Below are Guidelines, in brief, for the Budwig Diet & Lifestyle Plan - you don't have to eat all the foods on this list each day. ADJUST THE AMOUNTS TO FIT YOUR SIZE & DIGESTIVE ABILITY. Each food or liquid below has an important purpose. They all fight cancer, heart disease, arthritis & more. There's a good reason for following the schedule as stated below, but if necessary, adjust it to your needs.
?
The Budwig plan may take 3 months or more before significant improvement occurs. It's also possible to feel worse during the 2nd month; as cancer cells begin to die, some may go into the bloodstream. The plan needs to be continued even after becoming cancer-free or the cancer could return. Eating forbidden foods & experiencing severe stress can promote cancer.
?
Dr. Budwig's Program:?
?
1. 1st thing in AM--Sauerkraut Juice, raw and homemade. Raw unheated kraut contains natural enzymes, probiotics and vitamins - all help the digestive system metabolize foods and improve immunity. Almost all sauerkraut in stores has been pasteurized [heated] and won't be as powerful as raw kraut.??
?
2. Just before breakfast-- green or herbal tea with one teaspoon of raw honey, a cancer-fighter.?
??
3. Breakfast--Blend 3 Tbs Flax Oil [45ml] & 6 Tbs Quark or Cottage Cheese [90ml]+3 Tbs [45ml] milk for thinning. Grind & add 2 Tbs [30ml] whole flaxseeds, fresh fruit, pure fruit juice, raw nuts, 1 tsp [5ml]raw honey. This recipe has helped heal hundreds of cancer patients & is slightly different than Dr. Budwig's quark recipe which starts with blending FO, milk & raw honey, then adds quark. She placed the ground flax seeds in a bowl, then layered fruit & FO/CC on top. Afterward, if hungry, eat 1 slice of whole-grain bread, raw veggies, quality cheese -1 oz Edam, Gouda, Emmentaler, Camembert. Watch a video of FO/CC being made at http://budwig-videos.com/ [Bottom of page.]
?
?
4. Mid-morning -Homemade Vegetable Juice (carrot juice, beets w/apple, celery). Very Important.
?
5. Before Lunch - Champagne or sparkling wine w/ 1Tbs[15ml] whole flaxseeds, freshly ground, OR ground seeds in a small glass of fruit juice. Champagne helps the absorption of ground seeds, allowing nutrients into the brain.?
?
6. SUNBATHING [weather permitting] outside 10 to 20 minutes around noon without sun lotion or glasses, expose as much skin as possible to get vitamin D & healing energy of the sun. Afterward, avoid washing with soap. Give vitamin D several hours to be made on the skin & absorbed. Sunlight through glass does not make vitamin D.
?
7. Lunch - A raw vegetable salad + Budwig FO dressing. If still hungry, eat foods from the DINNER menu below.
?
8. Lunch Dessert - an important 2nd serving of 3 Tbs.[45ml] FO & 6 Tbs.[90ml] Quark or Cottage Cheese + 3 Tbs[45ml] milk, well blended. Add raw fruit, pure fruit juice, raw nuts, 1 tsp [5ml] raw honey and/or other flavors [JB suggested non-sugar dark cocoa, shredded coconut]
?
?
9. Mid-afternoon - 1 Tbs. [15ml]whole flaxseeds, freshly ground, in 2 to 8 oz of pure fruit juice, homemade or store-bought. Flaxseeds are strong cancer fighters and are high in fiber for good digestion & elimination.
?
10. STRESS REDUCTION--Meditate by focusing on the breath to calm the mind, the goal is to free the mind of thoughts; or use EFT [Emotional Freedom Technique shown on youtube] to change thinking, & use other ways to reduce stress - music, nature walks.?
?
11. Late afternoon - Papaya or pineapple juice, 2 to 8 oz, with 1 Tbs [15ml]whole flaxseeds, freshly ground.?
?
12. Dinner - Cooked grains & nutritional yeast flakes w/B12 OR grains & beans plus vegetables w/oleolux, nutritional yeast flakes w/B12 & spices. Grains & beans combined make a complete protein. Vegetables such as spinach, asparagus, broccoli, & cabbage as well as onions & garlic are major cancer fighters. Suggested grains: brown rice, buckwheat, millet, oats, quinoa. Grains & potatoes[white or yams] are calming & help w/sleep. If beans bother you, start with small amounts, a tablespoon or less, and slowly increase the serving.
?
13. Evening - 1 glass of Red Wine [optional]. Go to sleep early - by 10 pm if possible.
?
14. Dr. Budwig said to AVOID cancer promoters such as chemicals, preservatives, damaging fats, meats/poultry/eggs/fish, sugar, sugar substitutes [other than raw honey], highly processed foods, MOST SUPPLEMENTS, ozone treatments, dental infections and wean off drugs if possible [under a doctor's care].
?
15. Most people do not need ELDI oils, which Dr. Budwig created mainly for patients who are too weak to eat. These oils are sold in Germany. They are rubbed on the skin or used for an enema. [Some people make a version of ELDI oil at home by mixing 75% flax oil with 25% wheat germ oil to help preserve it. ]

I’m with you there. Re: Fenbendazole very popular - is it toxic to humans? #medications

An MD who does their own research is an oxymoron. Most of the studies are paid by pharmaceutical companies. Didn't they say ivermectin was horse paste, yet was curing people, from covid? I would take chicken shit if I had cancer, and someone said it worked for them. But that is just me. By the way, I am in medicine.

Re: Fenbendazole very popular - is it toxic to humans? #medications

A friend with dual doctorate has been following this for a while. He recommended that FEN BEN not be used as it is not fenbendazole and most likely fraudulent and might have a tiny amount but not the amount listed. He belongs to support group on Fakebook and he encountered many people who were getting worse on it and their cancer was spreading. If you go that route read from Joe Tippens' site.
?
If you go that route and I personally would get the one from Veterinary suppliers. Some will sell it and some will require a prescription. At least you know what you are getting.

Re: Fenbendazole very popular - is it toxic to humans? #medications

I did the fenben thing for a bit in the summer of 2019. It did nothing for me but inflame my liver and irritate my stomach.

I have also been a member of several alternative cancer groups, including the Joe Tippens group. What people seem to forget is that Tippens was doing a pharma study while he took the fenben. From what I see even in the JT group are a lot of failures, but less with those who are doing chemo as they seem to have better results. I do not consider fenben a standalone alternative, nor ivermectin, and I do not consider them compatible with Budwig because of the liver issues and poor gut health. You need a good liver and immune system to heal cancer. JMHO

Re: Gotten worse

How about that?!? The only thing I would add is that I divided this recipe after juicing into two servings. The 1st serving I drank at lunch time and the 2nd later in the afternoon, before dinner. Carrot will be 2 to 2-1/2 pounds, the last thing I add, until the pitcher is full to the line (about 26 - 28 ounces total). Be careful with the ginger, about 1 sq inch is all I use or it can get a bit "hot". Alternate between apple and pineapple. Beets come in a variety of sizes, I used 1/4 of a large, 1/2 of a medium, or all of a small beet. Everything in this juice is known to play a part against cancer.

Good job, Marilyn.
