Re: Microham USB Interface II + DXLabs + SatPC32 ??
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWell,?I found at least part of the problem. I was trying to use Port 25 with SatPC32 and it will only recognize up to 16. Don't think that will fix my desire to use port sharing but at least I can get SatPC to work with the 857 now. More experiments ahead. Mike / W8DN On 1/3/2021 11:35 AM, Mike Rhodes via

Re: Microham USB Interface II + DXLabs + SatPC32 ??
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýMike, I had a similar requirement with my K3, and the VA2FSQ Win4K3Suite software solved that problem for me.? VA2FSQ sells a similar port sharing package called Win4YaesuSuite, but unfortunately it does not function with the FT-857D.?? My FT-857D is currently sitting on the shelf, and I would like to reactivate it with a port sharing scheme similar to yours.? So, if you find a solution please share it with this group. 73, Walt, AJ6T On 1/3/2021 10:35 AM, Mike Rhodes

Re: WTB FT857D
Enjoy the FT857. Bob is a great guy and he is the local guy for ham radios.? I checked out his used FT857s the other one I don't think has been out of the box. Good luck and enjoy. J.D.? KE4MD --

Microham USB Interface II + DXLabs + SatPC32 ??
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOk, I am feeling incredibly dense right now and strongly suspect (and hope) this is not as difficult as I am making it.A little background - which I am sure is adding to my confusion. Primary rig is Flex 5000 which is configured using VSPMgr and Ddutil. However, I just sent it out to get a few things repaired and updated so my FT-857 is back on the operating desk. Previously (several years ago) I was set up to read only the frequency from the FT-857 to my logging program. That is easy and I am at that point now (DXLabs Suite). HOWEVER, I would like to configure SatPC32 with the 857 and try to capture some SSTV from the ISS using MMSSTV. For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to get CAT data to DXKeeper and SatPC32 at the same time. I guess I could shut down DXLabs Commander and use that port for SatPC32 but was hoping I could "share" CAT info between programs, much like I do with my Flex and Ddutil. Am I trying to do something that is impossible? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike / W8DN |

Sorry I didn't see you were trying to go lighter. Rg174 is 3.3db/100ft so pretty lossy.

RG58 1.4db RG8x 0.78db LMR 0.76db Not really worth changing from what you have IMO, but 8x would be a good choice. -- Leonard K. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI'd recommend the Turbo Tuner. It works with most antennas and uses the TUNE button on the 857D to start the tuning cycle.Randy (KE5EOT) ARRL, QCWA, ARES, RACES, ROWH On 12/30/20 9:34 AM, J.D. Barron wrote:
