That is funny!?

Wow, this just shows the power of the tongue - guess not only in spoken words, but in singing words.? I had better watch out - with my songs.?
This is my funny experience...
Last week I was setting up at this Rehab place, where I go monthly.? I had some shoes on that were a little worn in the heal and shouldn't have been wearing them.? The guy had just mopped the dining room floor and think it was still a bit damp.? As I was setting up, my right foot began to slide forward out of contral, and then my left foot slid backwards.? I made the biggest split you ever saw in your life - left about a 5 ft. mark on the floor - as I tried to hold on to a pole for support and about five people watched me?fall.? I was really blessed that I wasn't hurt any worse than I was.? At this point I decided the show was going to be in my bare feet, until the Activity Dir. brought me a pair of little footies to wear.? My first song up to sing...was none other than "I Fall To Pieces."??So be careful what you speak and "sing." ?My first performance in stocking feet!? I even had to tap dance a bit like that to one of my songs.?
?
One of the black guys there named Oathe (prounounced Otha) said he loved to hear me sing and why didn't I just "spend the night."? I really laughed and laughed and said "well, I have my footies on, all I need is my jammies."? I got such a kick out of that - I laughed the whole way home in my car.? Really it was a beautiful compliment, because what he was saying - that he didn't want me to go home!? He just wanted me to hang out with them longer.

I think I do have an answer to question 7. Does anyone else know the answer? I think Kevin Orr (comedian at the Red Dog Saloon in Cincinnati many years ago in the 1970's had the question and the answer to the question). I saw him perform at the Red Dog on a business trip I made to Miamisburg, Ohio while I worked for Bergstrom
Paper Company. I don't know if Kevin Orr is alive or perhaps is now buried with (or maybe without) his shoes on.
The party's over but the road goes on forever, or is it the road goes on forever but the party never ends? Of course, unless it is post
50th Dalton 59 reunion, then the party is over for sure.
Does anyone else have any unanswerd questions?
Does anyone recall Chuch Willis who sang "What Am I Living For?" and then died shortly thereafter. A bittersweet event indeed.
Now we are in the ides of March for whatever that is worth.
All I know about March is that daylight savings time finally starts and daylight wasting time ends on March 13, St. Patty's Day is the time to drink green beer on March 17, and spring (hooray) starts
on March 20. And the highlight of March occurs on March 21 to celebrate Benito Juarez's birthday. Sounds like a good time to scarf down frozen margaritas. Anybody else out there celebrate Benito's birthday?
Just out of curiosity, who in the Dalton59 group has a birthday in March? Or for that matter, who in the class of 59 irrespective of whether or not the person is in or not in the Dalton59 group has a March birthday? A bigger question would be "How does anyone
know who has a March birthday"? Maybe I will send a virtual e-mail birthday card to those with March birthdays. E-mail birthday cards are a lot cheaper than snail mail birthday cards. It's the thought that counts--not the cost.
Then we can continue with the birthday list for future months if anyone knows of birthday dates. How in the world would anyone have a clue about who has a birthday in what month?
Glad to hear somebody actually reads my messages.
Don't you have anything better to do with your time?
I think maybe I will give each of you an assignment to write an answer to essay questions. Your response must be less than 5,000 words. The first one to respond gets criticized--just
like in school.
Here's the first essay assignment:
Why are the school colors orange and black and class pink and black colors important to you? What would life have been like if the colors red and white as school colors and brown and gold class colors
been selected instead? Why is a bulldog important as the school mascot? Why is the annual called Luanna? Why was Dalton built on a hill? Why was the all-girl marching band disbanded?
Waiting for your timely response to the essay questions,
Professor J Henry Scholarmeister

Well, I started on answering your questions but Pat did a good job. I have one correction for question 16. ?Nowhere, OK 73038 is about 426 miles from your house. As for "why is snow white?", maybe one of the seven dwarfs might know the answer.

Hey Shook Up (aka Don) and Beth:
I remember them all. Welcome to the dalton59 group.
Feel free to post whatever you want to post.
I'm sure somebody will respond. Eventually.
Just have patience.
Just out of curiosity, wasn't the topo gigio some kind of wine like pinot grigio, or was it some kind of mime? Mimes are as creepy as clowns.
Hope all is well with you.
The Weaselmeister

PJ,
Congrats on the 47th Valentine's Day. But Sue and I have you beat by one year (Brag!) We almost looked you up in Florida last week. We spent a week at St. Pete Beach visiting some friends from Pittsburgh and then a couple of days in Naples visiting more friends from tht 'Burgh.
For some reason, I couldn't find your telephone number and so I gave up the idea. Are you anywhere close to Naples or St. Pete?
I've been reading all the posts but have been delinquent in joining in. I'll try to do better. And I hope the Weiselmeister keeps that comedy stuff coming!

Finally the USA Cinematic Appreciation Society Awards (USACAS) have been tabulated. Did you vote? I did and the results are startling. My picks agree with the USACAS as to the top 17 awards for the best movies ever as determined by a secretive ballot which is so secretive even the USACAS members can't vote.
Here are the top 17 movies of all time:
17. Death At a Funeral (a real dark comedy with many twists of fate) 16. Beerfest (a challenge to drink Das Boot) 15. The Hangover (a Las Vegas bachelor party delight) 14. A Shot in the Dark (starring Peter Sellers) 13. Ed and His Dead Mother (a deal with the devil) 12. Chopping Mall (a horror delight) 11. The Proposal (Sandra Bullock at her best) 10. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (one of the all-time great flicks) 09. House of Wax (3-D movie circa 1953 starring Vincent Price) 08. My Big Fat Greek Wedding (very entertaining) 07. Grumpier Old Men (Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau classic encore) 06. Grumpy Old Men (Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau classic) 05. Zombieland (a true zombie movie complete with the hated clowns) 04. Sound of Music (Julie Andrews at her finest moment) 03. Bridge over the River Kwai (William Holden shines) 02. Gran Torino(Clint Eastwood at his best) 01. Fargo (William H Macy and Frances McDormand are the greatest)
There are also a few honorable mentions which are as follows:
Psycho The Man Who Knew Too Much Vertigo The Birds Jaws Snow White Attacks Cinderella Superman Giant Snakes on a Plane Gidget Goes Hawaiian The Alamo (John Wayne version)
I don't know if you saw the USACAS awards on PBS last week or not. Because of funding cutbacks, maybe the awards were not shown yet in your area. Stay tuned and call your local PBS station to let them know you want the awards on your local PBS station.
Let me know if you agree with the awards. What are your choices if you have not yet voted. Good luck at voting. The last date to vote was 01/12/11.
Cordially,
The Moviecriticmeister J Henry, Esq.
