I think I read that the Nola founder used a different and possibly inferior mid in the 20i, maybe one became unavailable or something along those lines or to accommodate the bi amp capability. I

I have not heard the Alons, but I have a pair of DQ-20i in Northern Virginia that I am considering selling. ?I just don't listen to them enough and would prefer someone own them that will keep them

Same here. Had two sets of the 10, a 20, and a 20i Still have one set of the 10 and the 20. Interesting other comment about ALON/NOLA, because original Dahlquist factory was also on Long Island

Also I believe Carl Is still manufacturing speakers under the NOLA brand (ALON spelled backwards) on Long Island NY.
