'Terrifying': Massachusetts man banned from Facebook after sharing cryptic letter about democracy's demise
?
Massachusetts venture investor
Chad Jones says the power of Big Tech is "terrifying" after
he was was banned from Facebook for unknowingly igniting a
social-media debate.
Check out this article...? this is terrifying from
the standpoint that this gentleman was beanned for posting a
letter written by a judge... But even MORE? terrifying? when
you read the predictions in the letter.?? Here is the article:
?
Alternative-energy investor Chad Jones
went 'MIA on social media' — now vows 'silent majority is no
longer silent'
Facebook ‘appears to be trying to use its
influence to combat regulation,’ Zamaan Qureshi
says.
A??helped fuel one of the biggest
digital dust-ups and social-media mysteries of recent
years.?
And after he did — Chad Jones then experienced
the "terrifying" power of??to silence the voices of
ordinary Americans.?
He's now doubling down on his efforts to speak
out against tyranny in the digital town square and
beyond.?
"I went MIA on social media for a while for
sharing some pretty innocuous things," Jones, a venture
investor working to bring alternative energy to
impoverished nations around the world, told Fox News
Digital in an interview.?
"The idea that they’re stifling voices as part
of the normal course of business is terrifying."
Chad Jones is a
venture investor from Massachusetts who is
working to bring alternative energy to
emerging-market nations. He was banned from
Facebook after he shared a mysterious letter
from a California judge that spawned a viral
social-media debate.?(Kerry J. Byrne/Fox
News Digital)
The social-media soap opera began in 2022 when
Jones,?, posted on his personal Facebook
page a cryptic letter allegedly written in December 2021
by an 85-year-old retired California judge, Keith M.
Alber.?
The letter claimed that the current endangered
state of American democracy was predicted with
frightening accuracy in the 1950s.?
The judge's shocking claim spawned a frenzied
reaction on social media.?
"The idea that they’re
stifling voices as part of the normal course of
business is terrifying."
"My first year of college was 68 years ago,"
Alber wrote in a brief letter to The Epoch Times in
December 2021.?
"One class I took was political science. A
half-page of my textbook essentially outlined a few
steps to overturn democracy."?
Alber’s letter enumerated those steps: "1)
Divide the nation philosophically. 2) Foment racial
strife. 3) Cause distrust of police authority. 4) Swarm
the nation’s borders indiscriminately and
unconstitutionally. 5) Engender the??to weaken it. 6) Overburden
citizens with more unfair taxation. 7) Encourage civil
rioting and discourage accountability for all crime. 8)
Control all balloting. 9) Control all media."
The judge’s letter struck home with many
readers, including Jones — who felt the textbook from
decades ago predicted the crisis of democracy that the
nation faces today.
It also spawned heated debate online — with
members of each end of the American political spectrum
claiming the other side was responsible for the fascist
dystopia outlined by the judge.
Many people, however, doubted the authenticity
of the letter, especially with the judge's failure to
cite the name of the textbook.?
Snopes.com weighed in, claiming last May that
it talked to Alber and that the letter was authentic.
Alber died later last year.?
But, the outlet wrote, "One of the more
popular postings of the article came from a Facebook
account named Chad Jones. As of mid-May 2022, that post
had been shared more than 11,000 times."
Jones was unaware that his post had gone viral
until Fox News Digital contacted him last week.?
"The silent majority
is no longer silent like they used to be."
Meta blocked him from his Facebook account
soon after he posted the letter. He couldn’t get access
to the post, even as it continued to ignite thousands of
responses.?
"When I looked at the letter, it really struck
me as a variation of Saul Alinsky's ‘Rules for
Radicals,’" said Jones when asked what prompted him to
share the letter.?
Immigrants from
Venezuela cover up during a dust storm at a
makeshift immigrant camp located between the Rio
Grande and the U.S.-Mexico border fence on May
10, 2023, in El Paso, Texas. A mysterious letter
written by a retired California judge in 2021
claims that the country's open border is part of
an effort to end American democracy and was
predicted in a 1950s political science
textbook.??(John Moore/Getty

"The whole basis is to tear down our system
and build something new and different, something not
aligned with our traditional American concepts of
individual freedom and personal liberty."
Thousands of people agreed with Jones;
thousands more did not.?
It appeared to be a vigorous public debate.?
Yet Jones was silenced for sharing the letter
that spawned the discourse and the entire post itself
has disappeared since.
?
Jones reemerged on Facebook months later with
an alternate account.
"It seems that silencing voices in the
electronic town square falls right in line with what
Alber wrote about," said Jones.?
Meta blocked Jones
from his Facebook account … He couldn’t access the
post – even as it continued to ignite thousands of
responses.
He said the experience has only stiffened his
resolve to speak out on social media and other
platforms.?
He feels that "millions of Americans" learned
the same lesson when they were silenced for daring to
challenge Anthony Fauci, the federal government and
media during?.

Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), helped
lead the country’s COVID-19 response in the
Trump and Biden administrations. He stepped down
in December 2022.??(Ting Shen/Bloomberg

"The silent majority is no longer silent like
they used to be," said Jones.
?
"They're no longer willing just to take their
opinions silently to the voting booth. There are
millions of us out there now fighting the effort to
silence debate."
Jones uses Facebook only socially, he said. So
he didn’t suffer any financial or business distress. But
he lost plenty personally.?
"The one thing I do miss are the pictures, the
memories, the reunion photos. I can’t get back any of
it. That kind of sucks," he said.
"It's all a little scary because?. What kind of world will they be inheriting
if we don't fight back?"?

Memorial Day - To Honor and Remember
Have a? Blessed Memorial Day!? ?? While enjoying nice weather
(hopefully), family, good friends, and good food, please remember
the reason for this special day!
Some sacrificed a great deal and many sacrificed everything.?
Please keep all those who sacrificed so much in? thought and
prayer this Memorial Day!
They gave their lives for our freedom and that's a precious
gift.? Let us never forget them.? Flying a flag, taking a moment
of reflection or speaking to a veteran about their experiences
are simple ways to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.
And let's not forget first responders, firefighters, and police
officers who sacrificed they're all in the line of duty while
protecting us and helping us.? I know that memorial Day is
technically for Military Service, but these other brave heroes
sacrificed for us as well.?? --Ginny
from??
Memorial Day is an
American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May,
honoring the men and women who died while serving in the
U.S. military. Memorial Day 2023 will occur on Monday, May
29.
Originally known
as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the
Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.
Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries
or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in
parades. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer
season.

In Flanders Fields
BY?

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
????That mark our place; and in the
sky
????The larks, still bravely
singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset
glow,
????Loved and were loved, and now we
lie,
????????In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
????The torch; be yours to hold it
high.
????If ye break faith with us who
die
We shall not sleep, though poppies
grow
????????In Flanders fields.

For??busy with little ones
or busy with hosting duties this weekend, or for
those who can't make room for a special table on
the to-do list, try what one mom in Florida does
— just add one more place setting and an empty
chair to the table.?
One year, a
Florida woman's four-year-old daughter
interrupted her explanation of Memorial
Day and asked, "Mama, what does
‘sacrifice’ mean?" The mom replied,
"Sacrifice means giving up something you
love for something you love more."??(iStock)
That’s enough to get
her kids asking questions and to give her the
opportunity to provide age-appropriate
responses.?
One year, her
four-year-old daughter interrupted her
explanation of the day and asked, "Mama, what
does ‘sacrifice’ mean?"?
The mom replied,
"Sacrifice means giving up something you love
for something you love more."?
Our fallen and missing servicemen and
women loved our country more than they loved
their own lives.
That sparked a great
conversation about what the family loved — and
what they loved even more.?
Our fallen and
missing servicemen and women loved our country
more than they loved their own lives.
They gave up their
spots at their dinner tables so that all of us
could enjoy ours.?
"Maybe an empty chair
will be at your table this Memorial Day," said
the mom in Florida.

accuses R’s of shoving grandma off a cliff) this feels

tweeted.

heard of
salmon jumping
into boats,
but never
anything quite

Tom
Satre told the
Sitka Gazette
that he was
out with a
charter group
on his 62-foot
fishing vessel
when four
juvenile
black-tailed
deer swam
directly
toward his
boat.
.
"Once
the deer
reached the
boat, the four
began to
circle the
boat, looking
directly at
us. We could
tell right
away that the
young bucks
were
distressed. I
opened up my

and
we helped the
typically
skittish and
absolutely
wild animals
onto the boat.
In all my
years fishing,
I've never
seen anything
quite like it!
Once on board,
they collapsed
with
exhaustion,
shivering."

We headed for
Taku Harbour.
Once we
reached the

first buck
that we had
pulled from
the water
hopped onto
the dock,
looked back as
if to say
'thank you'

disappeared
into the

a bit of

two more
followed, but
the smallest
deer
needed a
little more
help."

the last buck
to its feet.
We didn't know
how long they
had been in
the icy waters
or if there
had been
others who did
not survive
.
My
daughter later
told me that
the experience
was something
that she would
never forget,
and I suspect
the deer felt
the same way
as well!" I

A female??who overcame tremendous
hardship during her lifetime — including war — turned 100
this month.?
She shared with Fox News Digital memories of
raising three siblings, serving her country, bringing up
her own eight children, becoming a nurse at age 49,
suffering the loss of a son to suicide — and square
dancing until she was 92.
More than 200,000 women served in the??— but only about 10,000 of
them are still living today, according to the National
WWII Museum.?
One of those women is Dorothy Lassig of?.?
"It was a different time," Lassig told Fox News

"We had a really deep depression. There were no
jobs for anybody really. And we were attacked.??did a lot to us. When something
like that happens, it's a lot different than it is
nowadays. You don't even stop to think about it. It's just
something you have to do."

"My??when
we were toddlers," Lassig said. "I had two brothers and a

our maternal grandparents on a farm that they rented."
Lassig said she did not want to talk further
about her childhood — except to say that in many ways, she
had to take on the role of mother to her siblings.
"All my life," she said. "Because I was the

To stay fit, Lassig said she started square

She makes??most mornings — and
lately she’s been on a Wheaties kick.?
But a friend bought her some Bismark pastries

Lassig shied away from offering too much advice

But she did say it's hard for her to see so

Said Lassig, "I wish they would get a little

"Hard work is not as important to some kids
today. I think??did a lot toward that."
Lassig had a large
celebration in honor of her 100th birthday on
April 4.??(Sara Lassig)
There’s just one thing that Lassig said she’s
always wanted to do — and it involves a family member who
followed in?
"I have a grandson who is a commander in the
Navy as a helicopter pilot," Lassig said.?
"I’ve asked him, I don't know how many
birthdays now, to bring??and give me a ride. But
he says the Navy won't let him do that."

Those We Love Don't Go Away (Cardinal Poem)
Have
always loved this poem!
?
?“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very
dear.? When you see a Cardinal, believe your loved one is near! ”
28 Famous Quotes About
Cardinals and Loved Ones
Do you feel comforted when encountering a cardinal in
nature? Many people do. Some feel that cardinals are
visitors from Heaven. When they encounter a cardinal, they
feel that their loved ones are sending them a message of
peace, hope, and love from the afterlife.
For this reason, it’s common to find sympathy cards, wall
hangings, cremation urns, and wind chimes decorated with
cardinals.
Here are some quotes about cardinals, birds, and grief that
may speak to you if you are a lover of these beautiful
creatures.
Inspirational Quotes About Cardinals
Some of these quotes are from poems about cardinals, which
you might consider using in the funeral program for your
loved one. Even if the selection is not specifically about
our red, feathered friends, we hope that it brings you
comfort as you experience the grief from a loved one’s
passing.
1. “Stop and smile. For you know when you see me, it’s our
special hello.”
Perhaps a flower or another type of bird reminds you of your
loved one. What do you see in nature that reminds you of
them? There are many different types of animals that are
associated with death, with both positive and negative
connotations.
2. “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every
day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed,
so very dear.”
Even though this quote does not speak specifically about a
cardinal, it comforts those who are missing a deceased loved
one.
3. “As I sit in Heaven and watch you every day, I try to let
you know with signs I never went away.”
Perhaps your sign comes from the visit of a cardinal, or
maybe you feel connected to your loved one when encountering
a particular scent or taste.
4. “She was no longer wrestling with the grief, but could
sit down with it as a lasting companion and make it a sharer
in her thoughts.” George Eliot
Seeing a cardinal may bring you a sense of peace as
described in this quote.
5. “Guardians of blue sky, protecting from above. Singing
sweet melodies of hope and love.”
This would be a great quote to accompany a photograph of a
cardinal.
6. “I saw a cardinal in my tree, the bright red color so
beautiful to see. Thoughts of loved ones brought a smile to
my face, as I watched it flitter about with grace. Visitors
from heaven they are said to be, I feel blessed that you
came to see me.”
This short poem speaks about the joy that can come from
seeing a cardinal after a loved one’s passing.
7. “Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories
survive in time of sorrow.” Robert Louis Stevenson
Robert Louis Stevenson is the author of Treasure Island.
8. “The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more
joy you can contain.” Khalil Gibran
Perhaps the loss of your loved one makes it easier to feel
joy at the simple things of life, like the song of a bird.
9. “Every life has a measure of sorrow, and sometimes this
is what awakens us.” Steve Tyler
Perhaps a recent death awakened you to life. Do you notice
the birds more now than ever before?
10. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap
or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds
them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew
6:26
Birds are also great reminders that life is too short to
worry about the small stuff.

Quotes About Cardinals and Death
Most of these quotes about death are comforting. You might
consider sharing these with someone who recently suffered a
loss.
11. “In a world of such beauty as birds in flight, surely I
can come to feel at home again, even after my loss.” Martha
Whitmore Hickman
Give yourself time to “feel at home again.” You may find
that the feeling comes and goes.
12. “May God grant you always: A sunbeam to warm you; A
moonbeam to charm you; A sheltering angel so nothing can
harm you.”
These comforting words are like a warm hug.
13. “You cannot prevent the birds of sorrow from flying over
your head, but you can prevent them from building nests in
your hair.” Chinese Proverb
We know that this quote gives a less than flattering view of
birds, but while visits from cardinals provide you with
peace, visits from other birds may leave you with melancholy
feelings.
14. “Feathers brightly colored red, angels from heaven it’s
been said. Those we’ve lost come from above. To lend us
strength and show their love.”
We love this quote about visiting cardinals.
15. “Cardinals appear when angels are near.”
You’ll find this quote on many wall hangings and sympathy
cards.
16. “When I see you it’s a magical sign, and I am reminded
every single time, that all will be alright and all will be
just fine.”
Are you looking for a message of peace to share with your
friend? Here is one to share.
17. “A cardinal is a representative of a loved one who has
passed. When you see one, it means they are visiting you.
They usually show up when you most need them and miss them.
They also make an appearance during times of celebration as
well as despair to let you know they will always be with
you. Look for them. They’ll appear.”
We wish we knew who to attribute this quote to because it
describes many people’s view of cardinals.
18. “Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality.”
Emily Dickinson
For many, cardinals are symbols of this immortal love that
Emily Dickinson describes.
19. “Although it’s difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.”
We hope that receiving a visit from a cardinal gives you the
comfort you need.

Quotes About Cardinals and Heaven
Here are quotes about cardinals, heaven, and the peace that
comes when you receive gentle reminders of someone you lost.
20. “As long as I can I will look at this world for both of
us. As long as I can I will laugh with the birds, I will
sing with the flowers, I will pray to the stars, for both of
us.” Sascha
Do you feel drawn to enjoying nature more after the loss of
a loved one? Perhaps this quote speaks to you.
21. “When you awaken in the morning’s hush; I am the swift
uplifting rush; Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the
soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and
cry; I am not there. I did not die.” Mary Elizabeth Frye
This is a stanza from a famous poem called “Do Not Stand at
My Grave and Weep.” You’ll often find this poem in funeral
programs.
22. “When a cardinal appears in your yard, it’s a visitor
from heaven.”
There are many different versions of this quote, as you can
see from our next entry.
23. “When God sends a cardinal, it’s a visitor from heaven.”
We hope that the visit gives you peace.
24. “Keep a look out for the little red bird – it is there,
your loved ones will be.” Victorian McGovern
Whether your visit comes from an actual cardinal or another
type of red bird may not matter.
25. “The cardinal sings in early morning, Carving the cold
with fog breath rhythm, A sing song defiance, A feathery red
contrast.” Gregory D. Welch
This is a stanza from the poem “Cardinal Song.”
26. “My cardinal song is a call to you, To tell you that I
miss you, too.” Elle Bee
We love this line from the poem “Red Feathered Soul.”
27. “The Cardinal sits upon the branch. He does not know
which way to glance. He only knows that God above, Is
looking down in deepest love. I look to you dear God above,
And pray for your redeeming love, To guide me through my
nights and days, And flight my fleeting fears away!” by Pam
Waters Carson
?This poem is a reminder that grief sometimes feels like
fear.
28. “Higher still and higher, From the earth thou springest,
Like a cloud of fire; The blue deep thou wingest.” Percy
Shelly
This is a stanza from a poem called “To a Skylark” by Percy
Bysshe Shelley. Even though this does not describe the
flight of a cardinal, it still speaks of the peace many feel
from viewing our feathered friends.
Cardinals Offer Comfort to Many
Even if you don’t think that cardinals are visitors from
heaven, seeing them in nature gives comfort to many.
Cardinals offer reminders that there’s still beauty in the
world, even if your loved one is gone. They are also
reminders to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life.
Cardinals also remind us that God takes care of all
creatures, no matter how big or small.

PT Crime reporter's viral TikTok video shares what to do if you are home alone: 'Don't get quiet, make noise'. OT
There is some good advice here.?? I often ignore the
door if I am not expecting anyone... this puts a new perspective
on that!? To summarize the article, the author claims that most
burglars prefer vacant homes.? If you ignore the knock they will
think the house is empty.? If you answer thru the door (or a Ring
doorbell) you can tell them you are NOT INTERESTED but they know
someone is home.??? In the case of burglars, they will often chose
another home.? Good article!

This cat, nearly 32 years old, has a shot at being the oldest feline in the world
?
Rosie is a fluffy tortoise-shell
cat — and will celebrate her 32nd birthday on June 1,
according to her owner Lila Brissett of Norwich, Norfolk, in
the U.K.

Rosie has visited a veterinarian only
twice in her life, owner says
Moggies Retirement Village in Shrewsbury,
Shropshire, England, is a village for homeless,
stray and abandoned cats. The Shropshire Cat
Rescue currently houses 17 cats here.
A cat in Britain
soon could be crowned the oldest feline in the world.
Rosie is a fluffy
tortoiseshell — and will celebrate her 32nd birthday on
June 1??Lila Brissett, 72, who took
her in as a kitten in 1991, according to SWNS, a British
news service.
People have told Brissett to contact the
Guinness Book of Records to confirm that??the world's oldest
mixed breed feline.?
The current holder of that honor is a
27-year-old cat named Flossie from Kent, said SWNS.
Rosie has only ever??twice, according to
her owner.
Brissett, a retired housewife from Norwich,
Norfolk, told SWNS, "This beautiful thing was handed to
me in a cane basket as a kitten in 1991 — and the rest
is history."
Rosie, 31, has only
ever visited a veterinarian twice, said her
owner. The fluffy mixed breed cat is now eyeing
her 32nd birthday this June 1.??(SWNS)
Brissett said the cat only visited the vet to
be spayed in the '90s and then "five years ago, to get
antibiotics for a cyst on her head."
Added Brissett, "She's quite a character.
She's still got all her teeth."
Happily welcomed
Brissett said she was approached by animal
rescuer in the ‘90s.?
Rosie the kitten needed rehoming after her
first family couldn’t keep her once they realized their
daughter had allergies.
Brissett had previously rescued an abused cat
and a stray dog — so she happily welcomed Rosie into her
home, SWNS reported.
Lila Brissett with
cat Rosie, who will turn 32 years old this year.
"All my animals seem to live to a good age,"
said Brissett.??(SWNS)
Rosie is a cross between a ginger tom and a
rag doll, "giving her a gloriously fluffy tail."
She lives indoors in Brissett's ground-floor
apartment — and is fed Purina One cat food daily "or
she'll kick up a fuss," said Brissett.
"I'm worried about the
day she crosses over the rainbow bridge. She'll leave
a big void."
The Guinness Book of World Records says that
the oldest cat alive currently is 27, according to its
records.
Flossie was born on Dec. 29, 1995, as
verified in Orpington, in the United Kingdom, on Nov.
10, 2022.
It added that the oldest cat ever was Creme
Puff of Austin, Texas, who was born on Aug. 3, 1967, and
lived until Aug. 6, 2005 — 38 years and three days.
?
When asked why she thought Rosie had lived to
such a ripe old age, Brissett said, "Care and attention?
Good food? I don’t know. All my animals seem to live to
a good age. Rosie sleeps by the window all day and, like
clockwork, she will have some food and use the litter
tray."
Rosie the cat will
turn 32 this year. Lila Brissett has been told
by others to submit her cat's details to the
Guinness Book of World Records. ??(SWNS)
She added, "There's no need for an alarm
clock. All she does is eat, sleep, use the litter tray
and repeat," as SWNS reported.
She also said, "I often have to check if
she's still alive and breathing. I'm worried about the
day she crosses over the rainbow bridge. She'll leave a
big void."
"I'll miss her when she goes," said Brissett.
"But I'll never have her put down."
A spokesperson from the Guinness Book of
World Records said, "We would encourage Lila [Brissett]
to make an application for Rosie via the Guinness World
Records website for our Records Management Team to
review," SWNS reported.?
