A group of 40 year old girlfriends discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally , it was agreed that they should meet at the ocean view restaurant because the waiters there had tight pants and nice buns.
10 years later, at 50 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the ocean view restaurant because the food there was very good and the wine selection was good also.
10 years later at 60 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the ocean view restaurant because they could eat there in peace and quiet and the restaurant had a beautiful view of the ocean.
10 years later, at 70 years of age ,the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the ocean view restaurant because the restaurant was wheelchair accessible and they even had an elevator.
10 years later, at 80 years of age, the group once again discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally it was agreed that they should meet at the ocean view restaurant because they had never been there before.

Flavored
with fresh orange juice, brown sugar, and a dash of vanilla,
this 5 ingredient cranberry sauce is a cut above the rest!?? This is our favorite recipe for the Thanksgiving
staple: cranberry sauce. Made from 5 ingredients, this
easy sauce is ready after 15 minutes on the stove.
Flavored with fresh orange juice, brown sugar, and a dash
of vanilla—my secret—it’s a cut above the rest.

Why This is My Best
Cranberry Sauce
Quick—only
15 minutes on the stove
Easy—no
boiling the water and sugar together first
Convenient—just
5 simple ingredients, including water
Flavorful—made
with fresh orange juice & zest
Texture—moderately
thick with whole cranberries swirled in
Make-ahead—make
it a few days in advance so it’s ready!
Unlike the
rest—I use brown sugar & vanilla
Ingredients:
12?ounces
bag?cranberries, rinsed*
3/4?cup
(150g)?water
1/4?cup
(60ml)
fresh?orange juice?(about 1/2 large orange)
3/4?cup
(150g)
packed light or dark brown sugar*
1?teaspoon
orange
zest
1/2?teaspoon
pure?vanilla extract
Directions:
Read
before you begin: You need fresh orange juice and orange zest.
I recommend zesting the orange first, setting the zest aside,
then cutting the orange for the juice. (Harder to zest a cut
orange!) You need about half of a large orange for 1/4 cup
juice. Juice the other half of the orange if you need more to
yield 1/4 cup.
After rinsing the cranberries, set 1/2 cup cranberries aside.
You will stir these in at the end for extra texture.
Combine the remaining cranberries, water, orange juice, and
brown sugar together in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Stir occasionally as the mixture comes to a simmer. Once
simmering, reduce heat to low-medium. While stirring
occasionally, continue to cook until liquid has reduced and
cranberries have burst and thickened, about 10 more minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup reserved cranberries,
orange zest, and vanilla extract. Sauce will continue to
thicken as it cools.
Sauce is excellent served warm or at room temperature. Cover
and store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
Make
Ahead?&?Freezing
Instructions:?You can prepare the
sauce 3 days ahead of time. Cool completely, cover
tightly, then refrigerate until ready to use. Bring to
room temperature or warm on the stove/in the microwave, if
desired, before serving. To freeze, cool sauce completely.
Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator, then
bring to room temperature or warm on the stove/in the
microwave before serving.
Cranberries:?One
12 ounce bag is usually between 3 and 4 cups. You can use
fresh or frozen cranberries. No need to fully thaw. Rinse
the cranberries with water in a colander before using. No
need to pat dry—some water droplets are fine.
Brown
Sugar:?I usually use 3/4 cup brown
sugar, which makes a moderately sweet cranberry sauce. You
can increase to 1 cup (200g) if you prefer your cranberry
sauce extra sweet.

A Big THANK YOU to all our Veterans and their families
Just wanting to share this, not soliciting, but this is a good cause
if anyone is so inclined.? We have been getting milk delivered from
this local farm for years.? Jeff delivers in any weather, holiday or
no.? If there is any problem, such as truck breakdown, he texts to
advise of the delivery change.? Jeff is a great young man running
his family business which? has been in operation since the 1800's.
We got a text from Jeff a few days ago that the Dairy lost their
entire milking and bottling buildings and they are closed down until
they can rebuild.? No one was hurt and most of the cows survived,
but the business is lost for now.? Looking at the news articles and
videos below, it is apparent that the Brunton Dairy is loved and

A massive fire ripped
through a dairy farm in Beaver County on Thursday. Officials
said crews were called to Brunton Dairy on Ridge Road in
Independence Township for the fire at around 5 p.m. Brunton
Dairy is a seventh-generation family-owned business that
serves the area. The fire destroyed its milking barn and
bottling plant. It's a devastating loss for the family and
their business. Brunton's milk is sold at Giant Eagle and
smaller retailers around the area. "This whole community
supports this family farm," said Nancy Wolfe, the mother of
one of the owners. "All these residences here are considered
to be part of the farm family." KDKA-TV spoke with a
neighbor who saw the flames and ran to help the animals,
following his gut instinct.

when it comes to their impact on food, let’s just say that legacy
is a bit perplexing, if not horrifying.

The Cat Men of Gotham: Tales of Feline
Friendships in Old New York????? by Peggy Gavan?
?
Winner of the 2019 Certificate of Excellence and MUSE Medallion
from the Cat Writers Association
The nineteenth century was a rough time to be a stray cat in New
York City. The city’s human residents dealt with feline
overpopulation by gassing unwanted cats or tossing them in
rivers. But a few lucky strays were found by a diverse array of
men—including firemen, cops, athletes, and politicians—who
rescued them from the streets and welcomed them into their homes
and hearts.
?
This book tells the stories of these heroic cat men of Gotham
and their beloved feline companions. Not only does it introduce
us to some remarkable men, but we get to meet many extraordinary
cats as well, from Chinese stowaways prowling the Chelsea Piers
to the sole feline survivor of the USS Maine explosion. Among
the forty-two profiles, we find many feline Cinderella stories,
as humble alley cats achieved renown as sports team mascots,
artists’ muses, and even presidential pets.
?
Sure to appeal to cat fanciers and history fans alike, The Cat
Men of Gotham will give you a new appreciation for Old New York
and the people and animals who made it their home. As it takes
you on a journey through the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn,
it will amuse and astound you with tales of powerful men and
their pussycats.
A friend shared his memories of 9/11 and asked who
remembered where they were on that fateful day??? I sent my reply,
but thought I would share it? also,? It is certainly a day no one
can forget!
?Who could forget?
Oh I sure do remember!? Seems like yesterday.? I had a long
commute to work, about 90 min one way and I went in late and
left late to avoid traffic.?? I was pulling out of my garage
when I heard a plane hit the World Trade Center...?? my first
thought was that it was a small plane and a horrible accident.??
Then when I heard it was a commercial airliner , I was chilled
and stunned.? Hard to believe it could be an accident. ? Then ,?
on my way to work,?? heard about the second tower and knew
immediately it was terrorism...?? the rest of the drive was
surreal like I was in a fog.... wondering what would happen
next.? Then the Pentagon, even more surreal!?? As I got to the
work parking lot I heard the tower collapsed and I visualized a
collapse from the point of impact and above...?? Had no idea
till later it was the entire building then both towers.?? Once
inside the office, everyone was in a conference room watching
the TV, then we heard about Somerset, PA...? totally surreal
day!? Something in my gut told me that the passengers took
heroic action before another target was hit.
Have never visited the memorials in NYC but have been to the
Somerset Flight 93 memorial several times from the early
makeshift memorial to almost what it is today (saw the museum
but not the Bell Towers yet).? We are only about an hour and
half away from Somerset.

It’s hard to believe
that September 11 marks 22 years since the horrific terrorist
attacks that forever changed the United States of America. You
probably remember where you were, but many asked “Where was
God?” I was able to speak with Lisa Jefferson shortly after
9/11. Lisa was the GTE operator who took the call from Todd
Beamer who was on flight 93 which crashed in the Shanksville,
PA, farm field. She prayed the Lord’s Prayer with Todd that
morning and promised to tell his wife that he loved her before
he put the phone down and said to the others “Are you ready?
Let’s roll!” and he and other brave passengers are believed to
have averted the hijackers and the flight that was believed to
be headed for the White House. Lisa wrote a book titled
“Called” and I asked her to read the poem in the back of her
book titled, “Meet me in the Stairwell.” I believe it answers
definitively where God was on that fateful day.
‘MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL’
author unknown
You say you will
never forget where you were when
you heard the news
On September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.
I was on the 110th
floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who
called his wife to say ‘Good-Bye.’ I
held his fingers
steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say,
‘Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to
go.’
I was with his wife
when he called as she fed
breakfast to their
children. I held her up as she
tried to understand
his words and as she realized
he wasn’t coming
home that night.
I was in the
stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to
Me for help. ‘I have been
knocking on the door
of your heart for 50 years!’ I said.
‘Of course I will
show you the way home – only
believe in Me now.’
I was at the base of
the building with the Priest
ministering to the
injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to
tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and
answered.
I was on all four of
those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I
was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I
was in the very hearts of the
believers there,
comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved
them.
I was in Texas ,
Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .
I was standing next
to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense Me?
I want you to know
that I saw every face. I knew
every name – though
not all know Me. Some met Me
for the first time
on the 86th floor.
Some sought Me with
their last breath.
Some couldn’t hear
Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames;
‘Come to Me… this way… take
my hand.’ Some
chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.
I did not place you
in the Tower that day. You
may not know why,
but I do. However, if you were
there in that
explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for Me?
Sept. 11, 2001, was
not the end of the journey
for you. But someday
your journey will end. And I
will be there for
you as well. Seek Me now while I may
be found. Then, at
any moment, you know you are
‘ready to go.’
I will be in the
stairwell of your final moments.
Love, God
I wish I could find it again, but at the time of this tragedy, I
read a poem about why God let the towers fall and the poetic
answer was not that He let them fall but that He held
them up? for a time,? allowing thousands to excape.? That made
my cry too, but I no longer can locate this poem, sorry!

“If you are offended by something then leave it alone. Cracker Barrel offends you, then eat somewhere else, but I like it so leave it alone. A statue offends you, then don’t go see it, but I like to see them as my history, so leave them alone. Don’t like meat, then eat vegetables but let me eat what I want to. Don’t like Gone With The Wind, then don’t watch it or read the book, but I like them, so leave them alone. I like worshipping God, but you are offended, so don’t go to church, but let me go. I read the Bible, but you are an atheist and want Bibles banned. So don’t read it, but don’t say I can’t. Leave it alone. You don’t like the names of military bases, but I do, so leave them alone and stay away from them. You don’t like the police force, then don’t call them when you are in trouble, but leave them alone so I feel safer having them.
Why are the things you want so much more important than what I want? Are your demands greater than my likes? Is it because you use intimidation, blackmail and force to get your way- that you do? Let’s make a deal. I will leave what you like alone and you leave what I like alone and the world will be a better place for everyone."
