Commander : looking for already made commands for Icom 718 and Yaesu FT 920

#cat_rigcontrol
Hi everybody, I am contemplating a transition from HRD to the DXLab platform. I am wondering if there are available some command templates already made with Commander strings in order to control my Icom 718 and Yaesu FT 920. Thank you 73 de Leo K4ITA

New user, 2nd attempt to set up, multiple QTHs but importing log with 1 QTH
2
I am following the guide provided previously: /g/DXLab/topic/#207746 · 05/01/22 I have downloaded my existing L32 into 3 logs for my three callsigns. I am ready to upload the logs into DXKeeper. I have downloaded 3 files for each of my callsigns. The first 2 should have no complications. All my QSOs have been logged in L32 as one location. Being able to assign various QTHs is one reason to switch to DXLab. DXing is the other main reason. I am about to venture into the number 7 advice section. I have 4 Station Locations in LotW. These include my home QTH, 2 POTA locations and one California QSO Party location under my current NU6T callsign. Each of these non-home QTH locatons are identified in the log as either POTA or CQP under a Contest ID column. 1) I am wondering whether it is best to extract them from my current log before I upload to DXKeeper or to fix the QTH Locations later within DXKeeper? 2) I am uncertain as to who should be named in the "Owner Callsign" box. I have connected all three callsigns in LotW under NU6T. Is there an advantage to naming NU6T as the owner of all three callsigns, or is it more useful to name each old callsign as the "Owner" of each old callsign? I hope to upload to DXKeeper this week as time permits. Thanks, Dave 73 Rich, NU6T

Using Dxlab to submit more DXCC entities to total
11
Hi Dave and all….I submitted for and received my DX Century Club award in 2020 with initially 200 DXCC countries. Now I was considering to submit for more countries to be certified/verified etc to add to that number and get another milestone sticker for the award. Questions: Is there a way I can filter my log to see which contacts were verified in the first 200??? Is there a SQL that would show me this? Is there a way I can see how many NEW DXCC enities I could get certified/verified within my log now after 4 years?? Is there a SQL to filter that out?? If there is a link to some docs I could read, please add them in the reply. Thanks for the help 73 Ted Boerkamp VE3SS Virus-free.www.avg.com

Edit drop down box?
5
Is it possible for a user to edit the drop down box list of the active satellites. I realize you can type a non listed name in the box. The new SO-124 satellite has been added to the ARRL list for LOTW credit. Will a new version of DXKeeper add it to the list in the "Propagation/Satellite/Name" dropdown? Thanks <<John N4QWF

DXCC QSL Card Submission
6
I've got a stack of cards to submit. When I ran the report, it gave me a couple of surprises.. A) One was a card with no info why it was being submitted. (band or mode) Turned out to be already confirmed via LOTW. I changed it in the log not to submit. Guessing I got the card before the station had uploaded to LOTW B) Cards in hand (DXKeeper told me to send to ARRL), Marked confirmed, not added to the submission list Not sure why yet C) Cards that are marked confirmed in the log (filed in a box), not added to the submission. Maybe confirmed before I was using DXKeeper? So how can I filter my log to include any Confirmed Card for any country/band/mode? I do understand I can manually add/change a status to add them. Also, should I reset the submission or leave it alone? Or manually change it back? I unfortunately cancelled the dialog with options. FT9

Fellow hams, I am starting to hear a little bit about FT9; could someone please direct me towards a good source or two to help me learn more about it, what software package revisions I need and how well they integrate with DXLab programs? Thanks in advance! 73 de W5SV, Dave

RFI Continues on WinWarbler
13
I put on toroids on all things that enter the PC. I have followed many thigs to try to get good ground system . I HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH ANY OTHER PROGRAM BUT WINWARBLER IS USELESS ON 20m AT > 300 Watts. Antenna is fed with ladder line and 12 feet of the line is indoors so I assume this is RFI. I have no problems on even higher frequencies with Coax Fed Dipole. I do find it strange that ONLY WinWarbler FAILS. I END UP WITH 2 COPIES RUNNING. If I terminate ALL with Launcher it terminates only one of them (ALL OTHER APPS DO END) and forces a Restart of PC to fix. It looks I need a different antenna system that does not require the ladder line feed. I can run WinWarbler with no problem on other bands and o 20 M into dummy load. What does anyone think? Am I stuck. I guess I could try returning to my Older W10 Machine that had NONE of this trouble, even before spending 100 for Toroids. The Toroids did help a lot since more than WinWarbler was failing before installing them. Band spread
13
Hi Dave, Currently my bandspread will highlight anything I need on RTTY. I don't use RTTY anymore and primarily use FT8 as my digital mode. Is there a way to get the bandspread to only highlight needed countries for digi instead? That way if I've worked a needed country on FT8 it would no longer be highlighted if it's spotted as RTTY which frequently happens with spots that are actually FT8 stations. Clear as mud? :) Thanks 73, Don VA7ZT Virus-free.www.avg.com

Wrong Band sort in DXKeeper's User-defined sorts
5
Hi, I defined this sort in the "DXKeeper Advanced Sorts, Filters & Modifieres" window: First item: STATE Second item: Band Third item: Mode all three in ascending order. Applying this sort it seems the Band column is in plain alphabetical order within the same STATE, like 12M 160M 2M 40M 80M but I think it should be ordered like this 2M 12M 40M 80M 160M as it is when I double click the Band column in DXKeepers "Log QSOs" table. Or do I miss something? 73, Lui, DL6FBR

Macros in Spotcollector
5
Hi Dave, Many times, especially during contests, I filter spots at the DX Cluster. One of the commands that ARCluster accepts if you want to only see non-US spots is the command: set/dx/filter Cty<>k If I create a macro to send this command to the ARCluster node station in Spot collector, it strips out the 'does not equal' "<>" and sends instead: set/dx/filter Ctyk which creates an error. This also affects many other commands as well. Can this be corrected? Jim - KR9U

Bad spotter

The RBN or skimmer station k9imm-# is spotting all decodes regardless of band to 6m. Is there a way to filter this station out as a bad spotter? Many of the FT mode skimmers are horrible.

DXAtlas Map with DXView

Does anyone know how to use the DXAtlas map with DXView. I read that DXView has the ability to use an alternative map. Will spotcollector work on the DXAtlas map? Thanks, Matt KQ4VY
