meanwhile I just pointed to my QTH on the map, fine tuned a little and it
works well. It helps that I live right next to a great lake, easy to spot

More like a "dumb regression" in direct lat/lon QTH entry.
You can work around this by entering your QTH lat/lon in the main DXView
Window, and then clicking the "Position" button in the QTH panel on
