Subject: [dxlab] DXKeeper not seeing Pathfinder
I reported a few weeks back that sometimes DXKeper does not know that Pathfinder has started. The exact symptom was that entering a callsign in the Capture window and striking did not cause a Pathfinder lookup. Upon checking it was found that the DXKeeper title bar did not contain "PF", indicating DXKeeper was not aware that Pathfinder was running. Dave suggested a re-boot, and this did cure the problem.
However, over the past few weeks it has often happened again, though with no pattern I can determine. The computer is only used for DXLabs, and I have re-started it several time since then.
Is there something I can check that may be causing this odd behavior?
>>>Windows provides the communications among DXLab applications. If that communications is erratic, it's generally an indication that Windows is not in good shape; the fact that rebooting Windows restores communications reinforces this diagnosis. What version of Windows are you using?
