I reported a few weeks back that sometimes DXKeper does not know that Pathfinder has started. The exact symptom was that entering a callsign in the Capture window and striking <enter> did not cause a Pathfinder lookup. Upon checking it was found that the DXKeeper title bar did not contain "PF", indicating DXKeeper was not aware that Pathfinder was running. Dave suggested a re-boot, and this did cure the problem.
However, over the past few weeks it has often happened again, though with no pattern I can determine. The computer is only used for DXLabs, and I have re-started it several time since then.
Is there something I can check that may be causing this odd behavior?
Windows provides the communications among DXLab applications. If that communications is erratic, it's generally an indication that Windows is not in good shape; the fact that rebooting Windows restores communications reinforces this diagnosis. What version of Windows are you using?
