What you have currently with the Dinah using it with a transceiver it plugs into you can then run a remote mode tuned to the repeater frequency Les Keegan N4LPK

Connected to a Mac, it should appear in System Information under Hardware > USB as "USB Audio Device", where you should see information about the C-Media chip. That's what I see on my MacBook Air
