I bought a Yaesu FT-4Xr last month, but ran into errors reading from and writing to it with chirp.? I can read and write with the Yaesu software, but it's pretty bare bones (and I'm running it on VirtualBox/Windows, so it is incredibly slow).
Are folks able to program this radio with chirp (preferably on Linux, but Windows works too)?? If yes, is there some particular build needed, or some setting that isn't obvious?? I've used chirp on several different radios over the years and this is the first time I've been unable to use it to program a radio.
Thanks.
