Re: Lack of Groups Activity for a Long Time...
No news is good news. The proxy war in the Ukraine hasn't gotten out of hand. No tsunamis lately, either.

Dear Group Members,
??? I haven't seen any activity on the groups (GeigerCounters, CDV700CLUB, and GammaSpectroscopy) since late September and mid October.? What's going on?? Thanks.

Re: i need help with my cdv700 eni ready made circuit available
I don't know. I don't have the specs on the original transformer and I don't have an ENi to mess around with and see.

Re: i need help with my cdv700 eni ready made circuit available
As David71 pointed out, you can used that inverter module with a separate power source in lieu of the whole inverter section in the? Eni to generate the 900V. You can't use just the transformer from

You can do whatever you want. I'm not an electrical engineer. It's your CDV. The flyback circuits on the CDV used germanium diodes. Newer HV step ups use silicon diodes.

Re: i need help with my cdv700 eni ready made circuit available
The inverter module has to be powered isolated and separate from the rest of the CDV. If it takes 9v give it a 9v battery or whatever.

not 100% sure if that inverter module will operate at 3V or operate efficiently at 3V.some that I have seen use a lm555 to drive a logic level mosfet.Vcc min for an lm555 is 4.5V, mosfet won't be

Re: i need help with my cdv700 eni ready made circuit available
Yes, that one. To install it, the center lead of the tube cable is the HV. If you have to ask how, you would be better off paying someone to do it. It's HV, the CDV is positive ground which was

Re: i need help with my cdv700 eni ready made circuit available
I have not tested a bug zapper for continuous duty. I think all the ones i saw were momentary use.
THe Theremino mca and geiger circuits use an inductor in a flyback inverter to generate the HV from

Re: i need help with my cdv700 eni ready made circuit available
You could try the output of a cheap hand held bug zapper. Buy one the uses 2 AA batteries. The output has to be limited by the manufacturer for human safety. CDV700s use less than 5 micro amps of

Re: i need help with my cdv700 eni
Wild guess but the inverter transformer from a different CDV700 may also work( you will have to experiment with the phasing of the leads to get it to oscillate)
The inverter portion is pretty similar
