sBitx doubt
Hi Farhan, Studying your circuit I have stumbled upon a query, how the antenna connected to your RF tag in the schematic. Is there anything missing in this section ? regards charudatt ¨C VU2UPX

Re: Postman came with a box from hfsignals
Congrats Neils, Mine is 0009 After personal coaching from Farhan I found a cheap logitec wireless keyb+mouse a delight to use. I was able to upgrade after a git pull with instruction from the manual.

Farhan: Think about it. In my mind, the smartest thing Ritchie did was to develop a language with no inherent I/O. He pushed all of that stuff into the standard I/O libraries, leaving the language

Thanks. Just a thought since I have a pi400 and the astronomical price of the pi4. Barry

I agree that it's a good idea to isolate hardware support code into a Hardware Abstraction Layer - HAL. JAMES

Re: sBitx running FT8
We looked at that option. It is prone to many problems because the gpio needs to be really close to the codec. With the RP400, we will have to use a cable that will create ground loops. While the

Re: sBitx running FT8
Using a Pi 400 would lose the self-contained aspect, and might present some shielding challenges since it would be outside the box. But it's the same processor with the same ports aside from one USB

Re: Turn off WiFi on your sBitx
This is the LM380 picking up the wifi. It is a low rumble like bubbles escaping and then it is gone. I think adding a snubber should fix it. Lemme try that later today.

Re: Purchase?
John, Thank you so much for your encouragement. The bitx series is a community effort and fully open source. The contributors are many and I have acknowledged some in my paper. The sbitx hardware is

Ashhar, that would sound reasonable and logical to me.

Re: sBitx running FT8
My proposal is that we isolate all the wiring pi stuff (mostly flipping gpio pins and reading them) to a file called hw.c where we can port the sbitx to other platforms and write the required routines

From time to time Microcenter has Pi 4s at list price. They were available locally and I picked a 4 GB one up on the 26th, just before the sBitx became available. They had "25+" in stock and none the

When I powered up my new sBitx I heard repeating noise from the loudspeaker. I knew I had seen the problem mentioned somewhere. Found it on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfurq6hfsoM Follow
