Re: Purchase?

John,
Thank you so much for your encouragement. The bitx series is a community effort and fully open source. The contributors are many and I have acknowledged some in my paper.
The sbitx hardware is all done. You won't have to pull out your soldering iron.?
The software is being developed and will continue to be developed for a long time. That is a good thing. With a software updates, your old sbitx will become the new sbitx. Updating sbitx is easy. You will need to get your sbitx online by connecting it to the wifi,? open the sbitx terminal and type "git pull" and you are done.
I would advise you to wait a week, read others experiences (the sbitx are already arriving for the early buyers) and then decide. Usd 499 is a big commitment, I would do the same if I were you.

Hello Ashhar,

I have been following your developments for a few years and am very impressed with your products. I just purchased the uBitx kit and looking forward to building it. Most of my operating is cw and digital modes. At 74 years of age I am a little reluctant to get involved with coding and firmware changes unless there are explicit how to instructions. Your new sBitx has caught my eye and I would be very interested in purchasing but was wondering if this radio is more for technically experienced people.?

How easy will it be to change hardware, firmware and options? I still enjoy a challenge but not an overwhelming one.?

The sBitx looks great and I commend you on the progress of your company.

Very best,
John W9QP?
