I agree.? In my temp controller based on ON7EQ's code (see below) I put a real time temperature display on the OLED. If I have not been transmitting then it is simply the shack ambient temperature. As the PA warms up it is great to just check the temp anytime I want, eg while sending a contest auto CQ call or whatever. I have my temp sensor (a small thermister in my implementation) right on a copper tab attached to one of the PA transistor's mounting screws. Tony, G4CIZ |
Re: Raduino32 ESP32 flashing issues

Hi Caleb,
The download seems to be correct. This is the result on my uBitx. After the download, there is no automatic reset: you must turn the device off and on again. If after doing this it still doesn't work properly, I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the hardware. It would be very helpful if you could connect a USB-Serial adapter to port 2 and read the output during boot, as a lot of information is sent out this port. I will be available all week if you need me. Saludos, Ram¨®n EA4GZI |

I finally got the Raduino32 put in the rig. Trying to flash it to work. Only getting fully white screen. Below is the COM port out from the USB port.
Just repeats over and over. I flashed the ubitx32_20.bin to location 0x10000. Also tried to flash the ESP32 bootloader and factory image |

While I¡¯ve also used dd for this, BalenaEtcher works great on the Mac as well.

It's the native file format for Open Office, which is a pretty good substitute for Microsoft 365 with one exception: it's free. Jack, W8TEE

Re: The sBitx Release on www.vu2ese.com
Ashhar,
I downloaded the image and tried to burn it to a 32gb mini card. After I formatted it with the Raspberry utility I got a capacity of 31.3GB. When I try to burn it I get? message that I need at least 31.9GB. I am using a PNY 32GB card. Is there a different brand of card I need to use? Thanks. Al |

Open an odt file with either LibreOffice or OpenOffice.

Both are open source and are a free download, run on MSWindows, Linux, or MacOSX A quick google search for "odt file" says this in the first hit: Featured snippet from the web?
A file with the ¡°. odt¡± extension is an?OpenOffice Document file. These documents are typically created using programs like Apache OpenOffice Writer and LibreOffice Writer, word processors comparable to Microsoft Word and Google Docs. ODT files are similar to file formats created using Word, such as DOCX and DOC.Nov 8, 2021
LibreOffice and OpenOffice allow you to work with text documents and spread sheets, an open source alternative to MicroSoft Word and Excel. In fact, they do a pretty good job of opening documents and spreadsheets that were generated by Word and Excel, though Microsoft does have a habit of adding "features" so you have to buy the latest version to get everything looking just right.? I have been able to avoid Microsoft products for the last couple decades, and am eternally grateful that open software like this exists so I can read stuff sent by people who do use that Microsoft stuff.
