I agree.? In my temp controller based on ON7EQ's code (see below) I put a real time temperature display on the OLED. If I have not been transmitting then it is simply the shack ambient temperature. As the PA warms up it is great to just check the temp anytime I want, eg while sending a contest auto CQ call or whatever. I have my temp sensor (a small thermister in my implementation) right on a copper tab attached to one of the PA transistor's mounting screws.
