Re: #ubitx-help
#ubitx-help
I have a little more than 0.6v across base and emitter on all of them. 7.7v across collector and earth on Q10 and Q30 and 11.9v on the rest. Seems ok.
I have only unsoldered and ckecked one trifilar (T3). No short between windings. It was a pain for an old man with not so good eyes anymore and used to vacuum tubes.. H?kan |
Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
Ok. To attenuate spurs at an acceptable level we might add a high pass filter for the 10m band. However for the 15 and 12m band I don't see an easy solution Il 05/giu/2018 06:19, "Tim Gorman" <tgorman2@...> ha scritto: Arv, |
Re: micro bitx: strong signals from broadcasting stations
That can be removed with a high pass filter especially if you don't mind for the 160meters band. It can be done with three small toroids and high voltage ceramic capacitors. Just put externally. You might also try a notch filter that eliminates the offending frequency. Of course all this assumes that the MW broadcast does not emit spurs on the HF, in this case you could not do much |
Re: Github's future?
Fortunately, the way git (the software used by github) is structured, it doesn't really need a server! git is a distributed source control system. that said, it does have? server mode that can quickly be setup anywhere on even a raspberry pi.? If Microsoft makes any controversial move, I can see the repositories quickly move away from them. That said, I am not sure that they have the lee-way to do much in terms of changing licensing of the hosted repositories. - f On Tue, Jun 5, 2018 at 9:24 AM, Thomas Sharka via Groups.Io <sharkatw@...> wrote:

Re: The new uBITX boards are here
Jamie,
Check on ebay for old GE and Motorola communication speakers. I found several of $6. You can either use them as an external speaker or pull the speaker out and mount it inside your case. The best communication speaker I have ever had was an old drive-in movie theater speaker I picked up when one was closing down and selling everything off. I wish I had bought 20 of them! tim ab0wr On Mon, 04 Jun 2018 09:42:35 -0700 "Jamie Anderson" <jamiea@...> wrote: I also found a 50 ohm version of the Visaton that Mouser carries, so |
Re: RF power chain mods and improvements..
Arv,
This is how I've always operated my linear amplifiers. Tune for max in CW and then mark that level on the oscilloscope. When in SSB never go above that level with your modulation. It's a pretty conservative way to operate but it's also the easiest. You don't have to worry about trying to read a trapezoid display for linearity! tim ab0wr On Mon, 4 Jun 2018 15:20:24 -0600 "Arv Evans" <arvid.evans@...> wrote: As long as the microphone port audio input is below 45 |
Re: Github's future?
Corporations are not evil, they're indifferent. That makes them quite dangerous indeed. Microsoft hasn't changed all that much from their adopted philosophy of "embrace, extend and extinguish" since the 90's. If you do a little research, you'll find that most of the corporations have pretty much that same bias. If there's competition, eliminate it. If it's a small start-up, all the more so. You have to have 12V in the RX biDi amps Hakan.

Q10,11,12 and 30,31,32 must have 12v on rx, if not I suspect the relay K1, please check! Raj At 04-06-18, you wrote:

Did you upload a hex file or actually compile the source code? There's a big difference. Jack, W8TEE

I certainly would not change from Git. It is a standard that is not tied to GitHub.

Where is your IDE installed? I see a libraries directory right above the sketch directory, but I don't see all of the other files that should be in the compiler directory. I think your installation of the compiler is incorrect, but I can't be sure since I don't use a Mac. Maybe someone else who has a Mac with the IDE installed can help you. Jack, W8TEE

Not really. Read the popup carefully.? It names the INO file raduino_diag_v3.ino and also names the directory holding that file raduino_diag_v3. As I said before, the directory and the INO file MUST share the same name, just like the popup below says. From your error messages, you didn't do that. Jack, W8TEE
