This is what is going on with uBit I got yesterday.

I am going with a "Mezzanine" mounted RaduinoXP Mega.

Enclosure was suggested on this group, Less than $9 from Bangood.

Display is larger 4x20 with I2C connection.

Still lots more wiring, but the "not fun" stuff is done.
