What power supply are you using? is it possible that the power supply killed the final stage fet?

Thanks, I set the mic gain to about 50 if I put it up to full the tx meter goes red but the red reduces suddenly when I reduce the gain but then I get no output on the meter?

I think it might be a scam cause it starts off saying there from the tax office and ends with dhl hub support. something doesn't sound right?

I avoid buying anything that is shipped by DHL or FEDup -? I
write and ask for EMS and if they dont ship via EMS then I cancel.
I sometimes get scam calls and emails like this one... I never
click on them.

Hi all?
I've just received my Zbitx and plugged in for the first time, all seems to be working, I'm only using ssb, but when I touch the transmit it shows the screen but NO output shows and the swr remains at 0, so I don't think anything is getting out. I'm using an EFHW that the swr on my main rig shows about 1.2 - 1.5 . Do I have to set the internal mic on somewhere? I don't have an external mic yet so I'm using the internal one. Can anyone help please?

In Germany, 19% VAT is payable on such imports. DHL charges the remaining amount as a fee for processing the import process.

I have had many experiences with DHL. Most of the amount charged is actually the courier's customs representation fee, and DHL nowhere.
To get away "cheap" and fast, accept their terms. Otherwise additional fees may appear.

Hallo Peter, eine solche Mail hatte ich auch bekommen und w?re beinahe in die EORI-Falle getappt. Privatpersonen brauchen keine EORI.? In der Mitte der Mail ist ein Link. Wenn Du dem folgst, kannst Du Dokumente hochladen und ein paar Angaben machen (Inhalt, Preis, etc.). Danach etwa 46 € mit Paypal bezahlen und fertig!

Austrian here. Send them a screenshot of your payment and your order confirmation, and explain you are a one-time, private importer, and hence you will not need an EORI number.
I used that several times with DHL, and it always worked.

Dies gilt jedoch nicht, wenn nicht nur gelegentlich Zollanmeldungen abgegeben werden (Artikel 6 UZK-DA). Als gelegentlich wird die Abgabe von weniger als zehn Zollanmeldungen pro Jahr angesehen.
In ATLAS kann eine Person, die nicht verpflichtet ist, eine EORI-Nummer anzugeben, unter Angabe der Adressdaten angemeldet werden.

Hello Peter!
I think something's been misinterpreted. As a private individual, you won't be assigned an EORI number. You're not an "Wirtschaftsbeteiligter". DHL handled customs clearance without any problems. Perhaps an email to DHL will help clear up the misunderstanding.

The added BOXCON USB-A to micro-USB adaptor, white, small, delivered in a red/transparant sleeve is absolute garbage.
It shorts the micro-USB port in the zBitx, thus crashing the PI...
PLease do NOT add this item to further shippings as the quality can not be guaranteed.
I will have to next week for delivery of a good micro-usb to USB-A adaptor, rendering the zbitx useles in the box... Such a shame.

You may be on to something here, I setup my zBitx to the exact parameters as your is set and noticed a marked reduction of display chuffing, it's still there but way better. If I turn the IF gain up to 39 is comes back, reduce it back to 38 it gets way better, the waterfall being almost perfectly clear, all this being done with out a antenna connected of course. Now when I switch to 40M it's still fairly quiet. For the time being I'm going to leave the IF gain set to 38 or below and see how things go. I have to ask myself why one increment higher would add that much noise to the radio.

Mine is black and works fine, I guess it's hit or miss on the OTG adapter. HFSignals need to supply a better quality adapter.
