Re: #bitx20
#bitx20
I got one for a BITX40 from HF Signals last year and I believe they are still listed.? I was told to let them know it was for a BITX40.
I just looked and they are listed at $45. 73, Justin B KI5GKD |
Re: New ubitx v6 no tx
?
Cameron, As Stephen suggests, the first step is ensuring that the transmitter amplifier is working before looking at the SSB sections.? That is done on the v6 by selecting CW as the mode and using the mic PTT switch to key the uBitx. If CW does generate over 8watts, then see if you can get any output on the power meter by whistling into the mic. You can also monitor the current draw of the uBitx to see if the amp is drawing current.? On CW, it can hit 2amps. Let us know what you find. 73 Evan AC9TU |
Re: New ubitx v6 no tx
did you have transmit power before you made the modification?? If so, how much, what mode, which bands? Thank you David, it sounds like you have a pretty great setup

Re: uBITX v6 upgrades

The case that I am using has almost the same front-to-back dimensions as the stock uBITX v6 case from HF Signals. What is throwing me off, is the BNC connector on the uBITX board sticks out on the larger case just as it does stock uBITX case.?
Here are some pics showing what is going on. The pic below shows the BNC connector in the original case. This next pic is the position of the BNC connector in the new case. I hope this helps -- '72 Aaron K5ATG |

A new member of this group, I deeply studied formerly your documentation about uBITX v.6 but eventually decided to go clearly to SDR XCVR and bought a Hermes Lite 2, which I use with SDR Console v.3 and Quisk softwares.
I use it with Quisk when I need to prohibit TX outside of Ham Bands since some countries, like Japan and Thailand prohibit XCVR able to TX outside of Ham Bands. With Quisk I can choose between two configurations files, namely ¡°quisk_hardware.py¡±, which allows TX on any frequencies and ¡°quisk_hardware_hl2_oob.py¡± which prohibits ¡°oob¡± (out of band) TX, the ¡°bands edges¡± being set by the OM. Well I started to study your documentation about the sBITX, which seems to be a nice answer to my needs : a SDR XCVR without the need to use it with a computer since a Raspberry Pi computer is already inside the box! Could you integrate inside the software a ¡°menu¡± allowing the OM to choose to TX only inside Ham Bands, of which the edges could be set by the OM according to his country regulations or TX also outside the Ham Bands, for exemple to use it with a transverter? I guess this would be a nice addition to this project and would make of it a ¡°universal¡± XCVR. 73 ¨C Pierre ¨C FK8IH |

Aaron, If you are installing into a bigger cabinet like what is shown, just get a 90 degree bnc connector to connect to ubitx and run coax to tuner with another bnc fitting. That way you are keeping the ubitx stock and wont have to re-install ubitx bnc on board if you ever chnge everything out 73 David ac9xh

Aaron, I installed mine in a bigger case also but only later. I installed a ldg100 tuner into mine. I took the tuner out of the case and made brackets to hold it in place where the speaker sat. i installed a jack for an external speaker. I connect to the tuner with a bnc connector same as outupt, and then the coax solders to a connector to the case for outside antenna . I soldered a momentary push button in parallel to the existing one on the tuner and carried the wires to the front of the radio case. Led ,i removed and mounted it to front of case also. so when you push the button,it acts just like when in the case. for power, i split the incoming power at the power jack and ran a connector to the tuner. Basically that all there is to it. Im in the process getting a larger cabinet for everything since im building a 50 watt amp that will sit inside the cabinet with the ubitx. hope this helps., 73 David ac9xh good thru hamcall.net,qrzcq.com and FCC

I'm doing a couple of upgrades to my v6 so I'm gonna have questions. I am going with a much larger case in order to fit a 3.5" Nextion Display Using a larger case gives me even more room inside. I have an N7DDC ATU-100 with the QRP mods to it. I plan on putting it in the case. I now have my first question. Do I need to remove the BNC connector from the uBITX main board and run a piece of coax from the uBITX board to the ATU board and another from the ATU board to the new BNC connector on the back panel? -- '72 Aaron K5ATG

Re: Raduino32 ESP32 flashing issues

Not sure what I did differently, but after flashing with the flash download tool and restarting the Ubitx a few times, it works. I still need to solder the 100nf capacitor between the +3.3v track and GND. On Sun, Jul 24, 2022 at 6:15 AM <ramonlh@...> wrote:
