SBITX V2 for sale
I¡¯ve been told I have to sell a radio before I buy another one, so I¡¯m selling my SBITX V2 with Pi4. ?I traded a TenTec for this rig last fall and have used it on CW and FT8, as well as PSK31. I

Hey, what is this thing people are talking about?
Is this a new sBitx, maybe version 4?

Re: I need help reviving my sBITX V3
Jens,
The warranty is more than most "kit" suppliers offer.? Also, it does not hurt to contact the supplier to see if they can do anything.? I have read that new radios have been sent in exchange

Re: Erroneous embedded wattmeter reading
The error was related to the cheap attenuator that didn't work correctly. Without attenuator the reading from embedded meter and oscilloscope was inside tolerance with bridge parameter set to 100.

Re: I need help reviving my sBITX V3
Note: The fully assembled version has a 30-day warranty on parts. Try contacting HFSignals to see what they can do to help resolve the issue.

Of course, it happens with a development that it doesn't work out the way we first imagined.

Re: Limiting current to protect finals?
Scotty,
the idea is good, but as you can see in the software version of the program, there is no one who would implement all this. For different reasons: those who could do it don't have free time for

Re: I need help reviving my sBITX V3
Just wondering, are you going by the silkscreened markings on the board
for voltage polarity? I think I heard somewhere that some of them in the
past were labeled wrong? Maybe a different radio,

Re: Limiting current to protect finals?
Although a hardware solution is definitely a valid option, being a
software defined radio, I would guess that a setup option giving the
opportunity to tell it that you use a tuner, adding a tune soft

Re: I need help reviving my sBITX V3
Aaron,
If you still want to pursue the stock regulator, I suggest installing the Dupont header pins and using a Dupont wire jumper to connect to the pins.? Leave the power on the input and adjust

Aaron,
You may have a bad batch of regulators.? Based on your experience and other posts in this group I would go with a fixed regulator.? Here is a post with

Re: I need help reviving my sBITX V3
Ok this is so darn ridiculous that it isn't even funny anymore. I'm really starting to lose hope here.
I burned up 20 of these voltage regulators. Or I found 20 steps closer to stepping from this

Re: sbitx v3 noise blanker?
No.
It has software noise limiting.? Noise blanker only work for
pulse noise and need to act on the signal before the crystal filter
stretched the pulse.

Re: Limiting current to protect finals?
Limiting current? only works if you not seeing voltage spikes.
However when tuning like that you will see voltage spikes
from relays when they transition from open to closed.
In that condition the

Re: Erroneous embedded wattmeter reading
Carlo,
That could very well be the problem.? I don't know the frequency response of your attenuator.? But, a general rule of thumb for an analog measurement is that your bandwidth needs to be 3x

Re: Erroneous embedded wattmeter reading
Take a look in the raw data read from the ATTiny85 over I2C and check if it makes sense (more power / higher readings, for example), if yes, it is just a matter of software calibration.

Limiting current to protect finals?
So I cooked a set of finals recently with no obvious reason why.? Most of time my radio uses my raingutters as the antenna, which means I'm using a 9:1 unun with my ATU100 tuner.? When I switch
