Ok this is so darn ridiculous that it isn't even funny anymore. I'm really starting to lose hope here.?
I burned up 20 of these voltage regulators. Or I found 20 steps closer to stepping from this hobby and be done with it. Here is my? steps:
- Connect positive alligator clip to?INPUT+?There could be a chance that the alligator clip is wide enough to touch an adjacent pad. Take Dremal to the clips and grind them down in width by at least 50%?
- After grinding both clips hook the negative to?COMMON NEGATIVE?pad.?
- Check the power at both?INPUT+?and?COMMON NEGATIVE is 13.8 volts
- Put DMM probes to?COMMON NEGATIVE?and?OUTPUT +
- Starting output voltage range from all 20 regulators was 1.09-1.58 volts
- Remove power and adjust potentiometer, at this point about 4 of the pots just broke in half
- Hook up the power to the regulator, at this part 11 of them would just go up in smoke. The remaining would have an output voltage of?0 volts and I could not adjust it to a different voltage.? ??
?I expect to have to put in a little bit of work in on these rigs but after replacing transistors, diodes, and regulators with no progress at all I'm unsure what to do.?
I really appreciate everyone who has helped me with this but this current path is just not leading anywhere.??
