On second thought, I'm not sure I am correct as it seems hard to make it decode under either code with much reliability. So please disregard until you have nothing better to work on. ;-) My internal

Glad to hear, David. I just picked up a second one an am trying some other mods - minimally a Sotabeams DSP to see how it compares to the Hi-Per-Mite filter. ?The DSP has an LED for when you are in

Re: Daylight again mixer noise
Brian, yes. I have been thinking that I might have a bad J310. Ashhar, here are some readings from my build. The VFO RF voltage into the first mixer is 2.4Vp-p. Disabling the first makes no difference

Replacement encoder for uBitx V6
I just got a second uBitx V6 and unlike my earlier one, the encoder has steps. Any suggestions about a smooth encoder replacement? ?I don't need the push switch as I'm using N8ME firmware. Tnx 73

Dean, looking good.. If you seem to have some extra play between the screw and nut, wrap the screw with a layer of Teflon pipe thread tape. It takes some of the wobbling out. Sent from Mail for

It could also be a faulty J310 (ESD damage??). Years ago when when JFET's were the latest, I built a transceiver that was lots of noise and weak signals. Years later I pulled the transistors to use in

Can you check: 1. What is the Output RF voltage peak2peak at the bfo output. 2. Can you monitor the 5MHz bfo on another receiver. Is that clean? [email protected]> wrote:
