Re: problem loading nextion firmware model mismatch
The 2.8 size is likely not the problem. You need to have the display driver (e.g., ILI9341) on the display match the library used to process the code. Check to see if the display you ordered matches

Re: Installing BCI and Kit-Projects AGC
Me and David over at kit-projects try our best to stand by our stuff, we do the best we can to make sure its built right so it works out of the box. We would feel terrible selling it here otherwise.

Re: Installing BCI and Kit-Projects AGC
Another example of why I like this forum. Tim is willing to accept this is a defect, and Joel is working hard to prove It is not! I enjoyed following your combined troubleshooting techniques. Thanks.

No worries and no need to send it back :) not the easiest modules to test with out putting it in a radio sadly! Again thanks for trying to help us figure it out! Tim Keller -- Tim Keller - KE2GKB

Re: Installing BCI and Kit-Projects AGC
Tim, I'm afraid I cant perform anymore tests as I removed the board from my radio, but I had made a similar test only without removing the V lead and it made no difference. By the way, my radio is now

Re: problem loading nextion firmware model mismatch
Update: I had a 3.2 display here so I just loaded that one and it worked right off. I'll just get a 3.2 front piece and forget the 2.8. It's already on the way back to Amazon. Looks like I got

Re: problem loading nextion firmware model mismatch
Morris, I had the same problem with my 2.8 Nextion. Try "UBITX_Nextion_GUI_V3\ubitx_28.TFT". Make sure it is a TFT file and not an HMI file. There are others that will work but try this one first.

Re: Installing BCI and Kit-Projects AGC
Tim, On a strong signal with the antenna connected the S meter pad just tickles my auto ranging meter, basically nothing there. Without a antenna there is nothing, 0. Joel N6ALT

Hi Tim, I shorted the common pad to the off pad and then I tried all the pads individually shorted to the common pad, very slight difference between them. Joel

Re: Installing BCI and Kit-Projects AGC
Did you short the Common to Ground on the switch pads? Just leaving it open is actually setting it to a SUPER SLOW agc motion and will give you even weirder results. Can you show me where the yellow V

Re: Installing BCI and Kit-Projects AGC
Just jumping RF In/Out wont remove the agc from the circuit, It has a shunt element that would still be active :) IN order to remove the shunt element as well you would need to put the switch pads
