Did you short the Common to Ground on the switch pads? Just leaving it open is actually setting it to a SUPER SLOW agc motion and will give you even weirder results.
Can you show me where the yellow V wire is soldered as well :) Sorry for the multiple picture requests here, just hard to see whats what when we are not present :) thanks for sticking through the process here! Tim Keller

It doesn't make any difference where the switch selection is, the audio sounds the same. Attached is the best picture I can take.
