Chestertown Weekend 2025 May 23-May 26
Hello Tandem Riders Hope Spring has you thinking of tandem rides! Fellow tandem riders Rob Keiser and Stacy Spivak have put together another great, very tandem friendly, weekend in Chestertown, Maryland. We are based at historic Washington College in the beautiful riverside town of Chestertown. Please consider supporting this great event that is in its 41st year. Evie and I will be there, along with Bill and Ellen Lockwood. There are both 3 and 4-day options available. Plus, there is also a new 1-day (Sunday) option this year. Great riding, food, socializing, music, dancing, history, and the wonderful Chestertown Tea Party festival are all part of the Baltimore Bicycle Club's Chestertown Weekend. Hope to see you there. Thanks and best wishes Mike & Evie Chestertown Information Page 2025.pdf

Tandem season planning meeting Saturday March 15 from 2-4
9
??Hi all, Come join us to visit, hear about great rides from last year or plannned for this year, have a snack, and build an initial list of tandem rides for this year. The church we used last year went up in price by a large amount since Bill and Sally moved and are no longer members. After looking for other, suitable, places we decided to try something different. On Saturday March 15 from 2:00-4:00 we will have more of an open house, with no formal agenda, in the upstairs seating area at Wegman’s in Columbia. We hope you will come join us for all or part of the time. You can even grab a snack downstairs if you wish! (Sorry, no outside food allowed) Address: 8855 McGaw Rd, Columbia, MD 21045 Please consider volunteering to lead a ride (or 3!) this year. You don’t have to know exactly what ride you’ll lead. We would like to at least have a volunteer to lead a ride on the 3rd week of each month from April through October. If we have volunteers for more than that it would be wonderful! Thanks, Mike and Evie (CRABS coordinators) Ed and Laurie (WABITS coordinators) 703-909-3226

tandem captains or groups in Richmond and/or Reston, VA?
7
? Hi all, Please see Shira’s request, from Metro Washington Association of Blind Athletes, below. If you or someone you know are interested please let Shira or me know! Thanks, Laurie Begin forwarded message: From: Shira Gordon Date: June 12, 2024 at 16:47:44 EDT To: WABITS Coordinator <wabitscoordinator@...> Cc: MWABA INC <mwaba.inc@...> Subject: tandem captains or groups in Richmond and/or Reston, VA? ? Hi Laurie and Ed, Two visually impaired people have reached out to MWABA, one who lives in Reston, and one in Richmond, asking if we know of anyone interested in riding a tandem with them. I don't think they have their own tandems, but it's possible that MWABA could help them find a tandem or loan them one. Do you know of any potential interested captains in either location? For Richmond, do you have a contact for RATS? The woman in Reston is 5'2", and I don't know how tall the man in Richmond is. Thanks!
