Saturday April 26 at 10:00, joint ride with the Metro Washington Association of Blind Athletes (MWABA). Start: Eastern Market Metro Station, corner of 7th St SE and Pennsylvania Ave. 21 or 28 mile options.
We’re going to start the ride at 10, and do a
training from 9-10. The training is intended for captains and stokers
who haven’t ridden tandem bikes before, so WABITS riders can plan on
getting to the Eastern Market metro whenever between 9 and 10. Here's
the sign up form for the training and ride (and our other April rides)
if anyone?would like to ride with an MWABA stoker:??If WABITS people?want to ride with their own partner or on a single bike, they can note that on the form, or email: mwaba.inc@... to RSVP.
Here's a tentative 21-mile route:? and a 28-mile option:??Both
routes stop at Vigilante, a coffee shop in Hyattsville, and at least
some of us will probably get lunch in Eastern Market afterward.

Hope Spring has you thinking of tandem rides! Fellow tandem riders Rob Keiser and Stacy Spivak have put together another great, very tandem friendly, weekend in Chestertown, Maryland. We are based at historic Washington College in the beautiful riverside town of Chestertown. Please consider supporting this great event that is in its 41st year. Evie and I will be there, along with Bill and Ellen Lockwood. There are both 3 and 4-day options available. Plus, there is also a new 1-day (Sunday) option this year. Great riding, food, socializing, music, dancing, history, and the wonderful Chestertown Tea Party festival are all part of the Baltimore Bicycle Club's Chestertown Weekend.? Hope to see you there.
