Hello
First off, let me state that I'm an analog/RF guy with essentially zero SW experience - enough to pass the exams decades ago, then promptly forgotten.
That said, I'm not afraid to tinker with a few lines of code to obtain a certain result.? Has anyone created source code that's compatible with MPLAB?? Like others here, I can't justify the cost of the Mikroe development tools.? I'd just need a bit of assistance with getting things to compile & build.
Here's my issue: I bought an assembled ATU-10 that generally refuses to give me a usable SWR after tuning - something that appears to be a common complaint.? For comparison, the ATU-10 is unusable with any of the loads that I can successfully tune with my ATU-100.? However, I am?able to tune these loads if I use the test SW to manually tune the ATU-10.? At this point, I don't know if I have a defective PIC, the code has a bug that prevents auto-tune success, or if stray RF is getting into the mix.
Even if no one has an MPLAB-compatible source package, would someone be able to create a package that slows down the tune process so I can get a better look at what's going one?? Something like 500 msec per tune step would be great.? I plan to have a 6 dB pad between the TX and tuner, so extended exposure to high VSWR isn't an issue for the radio.
