As I hope to get the HV capacitors soon - I've tidied .
After several runs of , - I choose the following set of tuning capacitors and inductors:
- 5pF, 10pF, 20pF, 40pF, 80pF, 160pF, 320pF (several values are obtained by combining the smaller capacitances)
- 0,05?H, 0,1?H, 0,2?H, 0,4?H, 0,8?H, 1,6?H, 3,2?H
With this set of reactances the ATU-10 should tune no worse than . On lower bands one will need a balun/transformer to use with difficult (short) antennas.
I hope that the problems some ATU-10 users experience with it's inadequate performance are due to the improper choice of the reactances in the original project. But my attempts to enhance the optimum-finding algorithm (in the firmware) will continue.
