I've got a windshield mount and mini-USB power for it in the car along with a portable LioN battery set with 5v regulator for when I go out geocaching. With the phone's GPS and data connection active, I get about 2 hours on a full charge. Drop the GPS but keep the data and I can get about 6 hours. With the two LioN cells regulated, I can run about 6-8 hours with full GPS and data. The worst thing I've done to it yet is hook up a 12v lead acid battery with 5v regulator and ran the phone, data connection, GPS, WiFi, along with APRSISCE and Navizon for 10 straight hours on a road trip to/from Atlanta and Clemson University (two separate trips). The phone requires cooling if you ask it to do that much for that long with the radios always active! Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ |

Thanks Lynn!
I figured the area usage really makes it somewhat unknown. The data you appended is quite useful anyway. The unlimited plans that come with certain phones makes sense. I don't have one of those phones yet. I can't even run your software yet but am looking at possibilities at the moment. One never knows what the future is. BTW, what phone are you using currently? Actually, I am wondering what phones others are using as well. Now that I think about it a little anyway, maybe it is not a phone. Either way, what are you using? Thanks! Best regards, Fred "There is no way I can give you any idea on the data passed per month, week, day, or even hour. Cost to be online?
Broncus
Greetings,
Currently on my phones (all in family) the internet connection has been disabled. This has been doen to eliminate costs involved with general run-of-the-mill stuff like surfing, downloading songs, etc. I am curious if anyone knows the cost breakdown for running this software. Obvious the cost varies, so I guess I am really looking for how much data is passed/received per month. Thanks! Best regards, Fred |

It is the code for this program. You sent me the my unique code for my call sign before but I lost it. You sent me the program directly through email early this year and then started the yahoo group shortly after. ? MichaelKE5EUA(-15 [Minivan Mobile]) From: Lynn W. Deffenbaugh To: aprsisce@... Re: aprsis for Blackberry
Lynn W. Deffenbaugh
Currently, not that I know of. APRSISCE is for Windows Mobile only.

I'm hoping to port it to also be a Windows desktop app, approximately the same time that I add OpenStreetMap.org support. A friend of mine (KJ4HPQ) runs a Blackberry and is working on a native client for that platform. He tracks as KJ4HPQ-12, but not directly through APRS-IS at this point. Running on Ipaq 514?
Hey
I have installed your software on my IPAQ 514 device (Windows mobile 6), the software runs and can contact the server to send and receive data. The GPS however is not built in on this device and I'm not able to get my bluethooth version working. How are the GPS handled in your software? Is it internally connected to a serialport or is there another solution? Kind regards David - SM3ULU |
