Re: Favorite Weather Station
开云体育I have used many different weather station in my time and the Davis is by far the best on the market. I have used Pro2 and the Vantage Vue and for just home use the Vue will work for you. I used a vue and Pro ISS in Florida and they both preformed great. As long as you do yearly maintenance on the ISS, it will last you for many years. Look around for the best price. Re: Favorite Weather Station
开云体育Hi Adam,Our local club, W5NEM has an APRS system setup running a Peet Bros. 2100 with the Weather Display attached. The system started out many years ago using UI View but after being offline for sometime due to a move it was setup back up using APRSISCE. This system has been on and off the air for nearly 20 years with moves etc. It was originally a 2000 that was upgraded to a 2100 thru the Peet upgrade program. Once setup it has always been stable and performed well. You can get a CWOP account and follow the charting to make adjustments to the sensors along the way for better results with the readings from any weather station. The Peet Bros. systems are not cheap, but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. We have always found their technical support to be outstanding when we needed them. Hope this helps, I’m sure others will be able to share experience with other systems.? 73 Jeff kb5nmb? On Mar 31, 2024, at 12:52?PM, Adam - KC2ANT <kc2ant@...> wrote:

Re: Favorite Weather Station
Adam, I have the Weather Flow, tempest Station.? it is battery and solar power and it is great.? No moving parts.? You will need the mounting bracket if you do not have a pole.?? This will need the Weather Display software to tie in the text file since this station is wifi.? After the 30 day trial, the user will need to purchase the software (lifetime purchase, $58).? I will be purchasing it soon and re-link it to aprs.? The software has a lot of options. Keith Boyer?N4TRN Orange County ARES Asst. Emerg. Coord. Re: "Disabled" under APRS-IS OK
开云体育Thanks Lynn that was it! I know no idea on how that changed since all my configuration has been set for years with no changes except for adding objects and that has also been some time ago. I think this is the first time I have heard of the "Transmit Pressure" line description but it's back to normal showing the time. ...DOUG KD4MOJ KD4MOJ-9 Igate ?

开云体育Just tried it on my instance, and you need to look at Enables / Beaconing Enabled.?? I suspect your's is not checked resulting in the Transmit Pressure line displaying "Disabled". Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

Quickest way of checking if permissions are the issue would be to run the app as an administrator. <Right><Click> APRSIS32.exe <Choose> Run as Administrator If it acts properly, change permissions <Right><Click> on the folder name<Choose> Properties ???? <TAB> Security Make sure "Full Control" is checked for: ?? Authenticated Users ?? Users(your username) It should always be checked for : ?? SYSTEM ?? Administrators({pcname}\username}) Robert Giuliano

开云体育Nothing has changed in that area.?? Is it possible that you're running APRSIS32 in a directory to which it cannot write the updated XML configuration file??? Try changing your beacon text and close/restart the program and see if the beacon text change is retained. Also, make sure you are not closing the program from a maximized
state, but from a restored size on the screen.? But I think that
only affects the saving of window position and zoom levels, not
POS/GPX overlay files. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

I know it's cheating but I backup the entire folder.? That way I have backups and alternative setups that I can launch from windows explorer/file manager.

开云体育APRSIS32 also automatically keeps a "safe" copy of the config
file whenever it successfully loads one.?? That way if anyone
edits the file or the XML otherwise becomes unparseable, it will
automatically load the "safe" copy and alert the user that it has
done so.?? This was done in self-defense against users that use
things like Word to edit the XML configuration resulting in a
no-longer-pure-text file. Lynn (D) - KJ4ERJ - Author of APRSISCE

That would do what I need, thanks. I suspect some apps just have a menu item "Backup Config" that does just that. But I'll just keep a copy of APRSIS32.XML where I can find it. |
Re: TM-D710G No RF?
开云体育+1 to Bret's suggestion.? Right now there is THE configuration, instead of A configuration.? It's tied to the start-up directory, which is an unusual means for managing configurations.? The save-on-exit model makes the management of configuration files somewhat tedious and error-prone.?If I may, I think adding menu items for Configure -> Save and especially Configure -> Save-as would be useful when developing different configurations, or to create scenarios for special-case use.? You'd need a corresponding Configure -> Open, too.? To go along with the new commands, I expect you would want a command-line option to choose which configuration file to use, if it's different than the default.? Opening the "last used" might be useful. Greg? KO6TH Lynn Deffenbaugh wrote:
