If you put the whole directory on a flash drive and copy it over, the only thing you should have to do is make sure the Comm port is the same, and redirect the map tile storage when you start it the first time.

I moved my installation to a new computer on Friday, I just did the config from scratch, quite easy.

After?October 14, 2025,?Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10. Your PC will still work, but we recommend moving to Windows 11

This appears to be a GPS hardware or USB interface problem.?
Not sure what APRSIS32 can do, other than be a sounding boarding to ask if anyone has it working.
Does anyone have a working Prolific Driver for Windows 11 or know how to install the Windows 10 driver on Windows 11 (and beyond)?
The other place to ask would be with the GPS or USB interface group.

? ?What is the brand and model of your GPS?? You just refer to it as a GPS-5?
? ?Are you referring to a Garmin GPS-5, Byonics GPS-5 module, or something else?
? ?If Byonics, is it the module, or the RS232 connector (DE9) version? (Which requires an adapter that Byonics sells that requires the Prolific driver from Byon's website)

As for Bluetooth GPS units, I have had very good luck with them as described in my previous post.

I installed the FTDI D3XX drivers and am using a USB to Serial Adapter I used for a Kantronics KPC-3+ for packet. However, my date stream once it gets started consistently only show
?? "$PSKF150, 1*3E"
not the numerical lines of data I should be seeing from the GPS Receiver.

I have stopped using Prolific USB to Serial anything.
What happened was that they used to work great. Then someone cloned the Prolific chip. Sometime in the life of Windows XP Prolific released a new driver that was not compatible with the pirate chips. But as a user you did not know what was the real Prolific Chip and what was the bad Prolific chip when you bought it.? The solution was to install the old driver. But everytime Windows updated it also updated the prolific driver to the latest version, and you had to reinstall the old one. Same happened with Windows 10. Both the bad Prolific and good Prolific run on Linux, because Prolific did not write the driver for Linux. For me it is just easier to only use FTDI based USB to Serial adapters. That way I can switch between Linux and Windows without worrying. Kip AE5IB

Hmm, I manually?install the newest prolific driver and it seems to work.? I have found that the automatic?install?does not seem to work.

Also, check 10.147.6MHz. They are using VARA HF and AX25 on APRS.
