Re: 2014 2.5L Subaru Outback versus Aliner Ranger 12
According to fuelly.com, which records actual mileage, the most commonly reported mpg of the turbo outback was 25, and the most commonly reported mpg of the non turbo outback was 26, and the non turbo

Once again, thanks to all who have replied with helpful feedback.?? I've decided to sell my 2014 2.5L Outback and buy a 2024/25 Outback Onyx Edition XT.? This engine is a turbo and produces 260 hp

You can also use sidewalk chalk.? Mark all across the tread and drive around a little.

Rick, you're playing with fire.? If your tires are wearing on the outside edges, barring any axle misalignment, your tire pressure is too low.? That could cause heat induced tread separation and a

Re: Trailer sway
Ummm.....? the easy fix here is to just inflate the tire a little more.?? You might run the tires over a puddle of water and then immediately over a piece of cardboard and it might just show that
Our camper's tires
Hi all: I probably should have done things differently in the use of my Aliner's tires, but that is now in the past. Whatever the case, it is now, about 18 years after I bought my rig, that the cover

Re: 2014 2.5L Subaru Outback versus Aliner Ranger 12
I would get something with a little more muscle than a Outback to tow thruout the mountainous areas you referenced in your post. Or consider the Scout Lite or a tear drop that doesn't allow standing

Re: 2014 2.5L Subaru Outback versus Aliner Ranger 12
We tow a 2016 Aliner Classic very easily over a wide variety of terrain with the RAV4 Prime. It is a really great option for towing this camper. The range (towing nothing) is between 70 and 80 km on

These have approximately the same, 30k km or about 18k miles. Thinking about this some more, I'm puzzled why the wear edge is so defined. If the tires were rolling laterally due to sway wouldn't the

Re: Kia Sportage towing a Scout Lite
Your cargo load limit in the Sportage is probably going to be your limiting factor. There should be a sticker on the driver's door jamb with numbers. Watch your hitch weight, too, load the trailer

I did as you suggest. I leveled the trailer l-r and f-b with both wheels off the ground. Initially I used a laser level, just to see if there was any gross defect. The width of the beam plays a role

Great idea on checking the run-out. I had a front end vibration on my 4Runner. The tire store wasn¡¯t sure of the problem. Took it to my mechanic who put the truck up on the lift and put the gauge on

A thought or two. Jack the wheels off the ground and check run-out on both wheels. You're looking for spindles not true on both ends of the axle (not likely), or rims not true. It's like using a
